If you are looking for an estimated salary for a particular area you might find sites like Glassdoor of assistance. If you are a new graduate nurse then you might expect to earn a bit lower than what is posted. There are also many threads on the salaries/ hourly wages of nurses in different states here on AN that you might find of assistance as well.

Personally, I haven't found sites like Salary.com to really be all that accurate. I have been an RN for over 25 years now, and I think there are just too many variables involved, such as shift diffs, etc., to get an accurate view. Also, the "dollar per hour" doesn't mean much if you have to travel a long way, or if the facility has lousy benefits. You really need to add all of the pros versus cons to decide if a particular salary is good or not.
