So i am a student nurse and need to do a project about planned parenthood. If you are a planned parenthood nurse and could go over what your typical day is like and if there is any opportunity for growth I would really appreciate.

Thanks in advance :)

Why don't you look up a Planned Parenthood in your area and give them a call?

I did, but they need a written request from my professor before giving me any information and I need to do this assignment for Monday :(

Oops.

Good luck!

When was this assigned?

Specializes in Telemetry.

I'm guessing they feel the need to protect themselves and their image (and therefore their patients) by being careful and selective about any type of interviews or media exposure after what they were dragged through.

(Very upsetting, what happened, and I understand their concern - major props to those who work for such an important organization!)

You might try walking into a clinic with your school scrubs or business attire plus your badge and asking politely if there's any way that you could possible have a few minutes of time from a nurse. Plus perhaps bring a copy of the assignment.

Google is your friend, I saw some results when I typed in "a day in the life of a planned parenthood RN/nurse"

Also, reach out to your social network.

I had to do an interview and o couldn't find a person who met the criteria.

Then I called a few friends and asked them if they knew anyone who might be willing to help. You might have to settle for an OB nurse or one who works in a different type of sexual health clinic setting.
