Magazines? Education while working

I am a new RN, graduated in December 2014 and passed Nclex in Jan 2015, I have been working on a telemetry unit for 8 months and just feel at times I am not up to date on current things or practices and that my overall "learning" has slowed down. Does anyone have recommendations on publications or magazines or any other way to stay updated on EBP or new nursing insight. I know there is ANA but I can't seem to be persuaded to pay so much for that if I have other options. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I got myself a personal subscription to uptodate, and find it WELL worth the money to help me stay in the loop, especially now that I am no longer working in a busy tertiary teaching hospital. It costs less per month than my Y membership.

I also subscribe to a few professional publications (not all specific to my specialty), both for professional development and personal enjoyment.

"Nursing made incredibly easy" has magazines for keeping you up to date. They also have tests in them that you can take that count towards CEUs.

What about getting a membership to AACN? The membership includes a subscription to "Critical Care Nurse." A lot of the content is related to ICU but there have been a lot of things that I have read in those journals that pertain to telemetry/progressive care nursing.

I have a unlimited ce membership for about $50 a year at nurse.com. And contemporaryforumsonline.com has video recorded presentations from conferences that are excellent. They are $30 a presentation, but once you buy one they have frequent half-price sales.
