Good morning all!!! It is slightly above the high teens right now in beautiful N.E. Ohio. I want to move somewhere warmer, a little bit of cold weather and snow would be fine with me and would probably pacify my 5 & 7 year olds. Anyone know of such a place?

Well, I live in Phoenix, AZ, and the warm dry desert climate is great here. Tends to get a bit hot in the summers, but if you can make it thru the summers, the rest of the year more than makes up for it. It was in the 70's here today - not unusual for this time of year here.

Phoenix, Arizona also has a high demand for nurses too, so they'll be plenty of places here for you to work. I've been living here now for about nine years (moved here from Minnesota in '00) and I have grown to like it. Would not move back to the "Snow Belt" for any amount of money.

I'm not actually a nurse yet BTW - just in school so far, but I'm enjoying it all

California of course! And there are places with snow too.

I like the Tri-Cities in Southeast WA. You still get all 4 seasons, but the avg temp in the winter is 44 and the avg temp in the summer in 88. Rivers nearby for boating, fishing, wine country, good nursing salaries with low cost of living.

Yeah! You can live near the coast and travel to the mountains when you want snow, or you can live in the mountains and travel to the ocean when you want to. Or you can live in just about any kind of intermediate climate in between. Can't beat it.

Stay south of the mason Dixon line, just kidding.

Find a place where palm trees flourish and pines look funny

I think my son was talking about moving there. Something about no state income tax. Did I hear him right?

Hey! The Bay Area of San Francisco has it made!! Weather--best in the country!! Salaries are awesome and lots of things to do--skiing is an hour away, plus boating on the Bay. Unbelieveable medical centers with tons of research and cutting edge nursing opportunities. Now the bad news-- expensive but so worth it!! I ESCAPED from Seattle ( Wet!!) and Phoenix (120 degrees no lie!) Good luck!

Good place to work, and on top it; they have just completed a chain of the most modern state of the art hospitals right along the I-60 corrodor all the way up to apache junction; I know cause I have a friend who lives in scottsdale who is recruiting nurses for the state; if you want his email address I can give you his company website:smokin::typing; but first I have to check to see if I can do this.:clown:

Yes I did all of it; but surprisingly you can do all that in arizona cept go to a ocean;arizona ahd incredible forest and skiing resorts like up north at flagstaff, and camping in payson, etc.

And if you wanna live and work there here is a website you can go to; I hope this is permitted, but here goes; www.ghcsservices.co.uk or com

Yep, that's correct. No state income tax. Sales tax is pretty high though...over 8%. But for big ticket items, people just drive over into OR where there is no sales tax. :)
