Is this OK, when leaving my job?

Hi all, me again....

As those of you who follow the twisted path that is the life of Angelfire know, I will start a new job in a few weeks. My last day with my present employer is in a couple weeks, and I was wondering....

I don't want a big to-do over leaving. The office is great to throw parties for birthdays and whatnot, and for when folks leave, but I know me. I'll start squalling, and as one of the other nurses said, "get all snot-nosed", and I don't want that to be the way I go out.

What I DO want to do is give everyone a little something. I'm big on birthday presents and cards, that's no secret, and I have everyone at my office a little present as a sort of thank you for putting up with me.

Just wondered if anyone has done this, and how was it received? Thanks.

sounds good to me. i see no reason why this would be a problem

Duplicate post.

Sounds like a nice gesture to me. Don't see how it could hurt. Bring in a nice, big, humongous chocolate cake too! :BDCk:

I have done something like this before, I think it's a nice way to say thank you for everything and also goodbye.

What a nice gesture! I did somethnig like this a fews years ago when I left a job (not nursing). I was able to get personalized key chains and pens for my supervisors and co-workers. They were meant as "thank you and good bye" gifts. The cost was about $10/person. Just an idea, of course, it depends on how much you want to spend.

A nice gift for your former coworkers to remember you by.
