I think I've had enough

It's been a really horrible year at my job. Promises that things will get better have gone unfulfilled. I only thought it was bad a couple years ago. It's gone all the way downhill! I've been on the fence about leaving but I've made up my mind. I already feel liberated to some degree just making the decision to get out. I'm not ready to give up on nursing yet but they can take this job and, you know the rest!

If you hate your job, just get out. It's not worth it.

I did, and life has been so much better since leaving and starting in my new job. I hope that you have the same experience, because you're absolutely right - life is too short to be miserable!

Wishing you nothing but the best moving forward!!

I have been holding on at my job for a year now. Up until a month ago, I had an amazing manager that made all the stress worth it. Once the first week of November passed and Amazing Manager quit, everything that made my trying position worth it just wasn't worth the headache anymore.

There are benefits to my current position, but as I slowly watch my mental health worsen because of the state of my unit, I find myself even more motivated for a change.

It's nice to see making the decision feels that good.

Exactly what nynursey said. There are benefits to staying here but it's not worth the stress and tears. I'm moving on.

I quit my first job as well. Loved my coworkers, but didn't love the administration. Such a relief to be out of that place! If it's bad, it probably won't get better.
