OMG Julie, that ROCKS! I am truly thrilled for you. My pinning was amazing too. I was schooled and pinned in Oklahoma, about 1000 miles from my family. They caravaned (from Chicago) , as did ALL FOUR OF MY INLAWS (from Wisconsin) to be there for me. It was awesome. Family and many friends there for me for one of the biggest moments in my life.
The best part was when I got my pin, my 5-year-old- son stood up in the audience and said "WAY TO GO MOM!!!! YOU DID IT!!!" Oh, I am getting teary remembering this. Family just makes it all complete and so wonderful...enjoy this memory. You earned it!

Been getting ready this whole week for my Pinning Ceremony last night....in the process, I've had to go get my Mother from northern Ohio, daughter in in a big thing at her school requiring lots of traveling time and lots of involvement, hubby's uncle passed away and tons of family stuff.....
As it got closer to time, as a matter of fact, the day before, I had to drive 45 minutes away to get to pinning practice.....
Tired and hot from the drive home, as I turned the corner on our street, a motorcycle was parked in my parking spot. No big deal. People standing in my yard, no big deal. As I got closer and parked behind this motorcycle, I noticed something odd....the plates said Georgia. Now, as you well know, I live in Indiana. A motorcycle with Georgia plates?
OMG! It was my brother standing in my front yard!
I ran and jumped and hugged so hard! (Hadn't seen my brother in a few years.....)
He came to see me get pinned...isn't that the greatest thing in the world? :kiss
While he was here, the kids go to know him, and we had a wonderful visit....
I just thought that was the best...my brother surprising me by coming to my Pinning.
He left this morning bright and early to get back to his family, but I was soooo proud to stand up and get my pin and have my brother watch.
Had to tell you all....I'm going to try and attach a pic of my Mom, myself and my brother taken night before my Pinning.....
Hope it works....
Julie :)
