How much of a yearly increase in pay do you see?

In my area new RN's start out at about 18.00 an hour. There is not a very high annual pay increase. Just curious as to what everyone else's is on his/her annual raise.

Wow, that's actually a pretty good amount compared to other places. I think that's sort of unusual. Good for you :)

What raise? In this market raises are not necessarily automatic. It depends on the facility and the state you are working in.

That's exactly the way it worked out for me. The union hospital gave a raise per the contract, and the non-union hospital gave nothing.

Could be, because it is usually tied in with your yearly performance evaluation on your anniversary date. Many employers call it this.
