I also posted this in general topics, but thought I'd do a poll! How many things do you have at home?

I have my cell phone and home phone line which is used for internet and fax machine also. I carry pager for work purposes.

I wasn't sure what to check for only one home line, multiple uses.

Thsi should be interesting to see results

Like AHRN, I have one home line and a cell phone. I carry a pager when working so my wife can get hold of me, I call her back as soon as I can following the page. I don't even have a phone line hooked up to my 'puter. I am on a wireless internet hookup, and after reformatting my hard drive a while back I did not reload the phone/fax program into it. I seldom used it before the crash, so I left it off this time.

I've got one phone line through which I also get my DSL. That's it. The way I figure it, there aren't too many things that someone would need to call me for RIGHT NOW...most anything can wait. It's sort of nice because when my phone has been ringing off the hook for this and that, I turn off my answering machine and hop in the car for a nice loooooooong drive, and to be perfectly honest, I haven't missed anything important on those drives. It also helps that I am a cheap bastard. :specs:

Indeed.

1 home phone line, 2 cell phones, and a cable modem.

Our monthly communications budget equals our monthly grocery budget.

One phone line with DSL on it,

pager for work

cell phone for work (to return the pages???)

I'm on call for the weekend, have already gotten 8 calls...all of them BS!

DSL with house line on it, cell phone, and addt'l home phone # to which I have no idea what the # is 'cause I've never used it.

Hey Nancy, when's your grandbaby due, grandma-to-be???

I wold love a dsl but living in the bowels of hell they aren't available, hell we just started using pennicillian for God's sake.

Anywho I wouldn't have a phone at all if it weren't for a need for net access. I don't answer the phone at home, isn't ever for me anyway.

Have one phone line (now that the teenager is in college)

cable modem

pager for work

one cell phone for each myself, hubby, and college student son.

Sometimes I wonder what in the world did we all do without cell phones! I can not leave the house without mine.

Esther.

Have you ever found yourself driving down the street and realize..."OH MY GOD, I DON'T HAVE MY CELL PHONE!!"

I have actually turned around to go back and get it. It's like you realize you left the house without a bra or makeup on or something!

We have 2 phone lines, one for the computer, 2 cell phones, one for my hubby and one for myself (oh wait! 3 cell phones! 16 y/o daughter has one too!) and a pager.

There's voicemail on our cell phones, and an answering machine on the telephone. We usualy don't answer either unless we know who it is, and sometimes don't even answer it then! :)
