Hello all..:)

Well...I finally made it here, and have just returned from getting my car. I still hate flying, but I survived..:cool:!

I just got my pc up and running, the day before leaving to get my car, and this is the first day, I finally have to my self..:).

Now...here's the story on Scottsdale...Wonderful! Everything is in walking distance...with one problem...TOO DANG HOT TO WALK ANYWHERE!!!

Phx - CraZy driving maniacs!!! Speed limit 55...aww...that just means you can only go 80!! Must be the heat...because I have never seen so many un air conditioned cars in my entire life!! Staying AWAY from going to PHX EVER!!:eek:

Hospital: So far so good! Get 5-6pts a nite...with GREAT knowledgable CNAs..(so far)! CN...asked me what I wanted to work! Gave me four days off in a row, and asked me if that was enough to go, and get my car..:cool:! Work with GREAT regular staff, and two males who are also travelers! This hospital has more males as part of nursing staff...then any hospital I have ever seen! Great to see them too!

So...as of right now...I'm thinking of staying another contract...if nothing changes..:cool:!

Thanks to all for the support, and encourgement to get my butt on that plane...but I still HATE flying!

Cool. have a great time. Are there alot of bugs there? I heard there was big bugs there.

i'm jealous...i want to be in arizona. i'm glad you are enjoying yourself. if you have time, i would suggest tubing down the salt river, checking out camelback mountain, and seeing the fountain at fountain hills.

if you don't mind me asking, which agency do you use? which hospital are you at? you don't have to answer or if you chose to, you can reply privately. the reason i'm asking, is that after i'm married i'm hoping on traveling out to the phoenix area. any tips would be wonderful!

Funny you should ask about bugs...:chuckle! I was in Kmart...yep...they're still open here. And I was walking down the aisle...when up walks this really BIG bug!!:eek:!! I mean...I ran the other way...:chuckle! I mean he/she was just walking down the aisle...not scrambling for cover either!! My daughter just cracked up :chuckle! I came in at the tail end of a discussion on TV about what they were...all I know it that YES they're big! Also they have scorpions here...but haven't seen any yet!:uhoh21: No misquotes though...and very few flys..in fact I don't remember seeing any! But I know there has to be some here..right???

Glad you made it Brownie! You mean the bugs are bigger than in TEXAS?? I thought they were bad enough here...LOL! (shuddering thinking about those huge palmetto bugs...icckk)

So it's hot eh? Is it a better heat than in Houston area? I always heard it was better cuz it was drier....it's hot and too humid for me here in Fort Worth..hasn't hit 100 yet except for the heat/humidity index..which has been over 100 these past few weeks. :(

How does your daughter like it there so far?

enjoying arizona, are we? i'm so happy for you brownie! i hope your assignment there continues to go well for you and your daughter. when you are ready to meet my oldest sister, let me know. she doesn't live too far from you. she's a great person, too.

i lived in glendale, arizona for one year many moons ago, and from what my sister tells me, arizona has really blossomed since then. she's only been living there one year now, so i haven't gone to see her yet. :sniff: i really miss her too. anyhoo.....so glad things have turned out well for ya, and good to have you back on board with all your allnurses siblings. :kiss
