That was so sweet...I imagine it has to be therapeutic for him too what with working in what can be a heartbreaking specialty.

Diane Sawyer is a left wing nut...but Elvis is the KING. I sing Promised Land everytime I feel that I am close to causing terminal harm to some poor dude in the OR. Always makes things progressive for the positive. I wonder if this peds neuro guy sings Promised Land when he gets nervous when under pressure practicing the wonders of "modern" medicine?

That is really cool. I'm an Elvis junkie, and am not usually a fan of impersonators, but his is a most worthy cause. What a sweet story.

If you see a bunch of Elvis fans out of this area in about 20 years, it's because I listen to him all the time (volume low, of course) in the nursery.

Actually, I was thinking about you when I saw it and posted it in hopes that you would like it.

Awwwwwwww from me too :)

My crappy connection wouldn't let me see the video but I have to share this with you since it's about Elvis impersonators.

I have a very good friend whose older brother, for fun travels around with an Elvis impersonator & dresses & acts as his body guard (actually like Elvis had). The local hospital has a big fund raiser in Dec & the theme this year was "Rock Around the Clock". They hired this particular Elvis impersonator ( a retired school teacher) to entertain. It was at a fancy convention center but afterwards they decided to go visit my friend, the younger sister of the guard, who was hospitalized at the time. Imagine the looks on the faces of the staff & patients when Elvis, complete with white jumpsuit & cape, walked onto the unit! He visited with patients & gave the nurses quite a thrill, even singing songs to them. I understand that he was the talk of the floor.
