I've had one famous patient.
I worked at a prison that detained US marshall inmates.
So I had a celebrity inmate--a "gangster" rapper. One of those that have the "parental advisory" on their cd's. It was very strange to hear him rap about female dogs, drugs, and promiscuous women and then hear him say "yes ma'am, please, and thank you" to me all the time. He could have passed for a choir boy if not for being in prison and the material on his records.
All the other inmates just LOVED him. One inmate pointed him out to me at pill call for the billionth time saying "Do you know who he is!!!!!". My response was to say "Oh, of course I know who HE is!!! Thats Snoop Doggy Dogg!!!"
Of course, it wasn't Snoop Doggy Dogg, but I rather amused myself at that moment.
This would be so much more interesting with names!!! too bad I guess.
Biily Graham got admitted to hospital the last time he was in Toronto. Wish I'd been on duty at that hospital! He had nothing but praises for the doctors and nurses.
This was in all the papers, so I'm not violating confidentiality by posting it here. IIRC, the hospital was Toronto East General
a few lawyers, & judges, Shakespearean actors from our theatre, & politicians mostly. I did take care of a member of a 70's southern rock band that is still popular here, last year when a stereo fell on his foot! I happened tohave their greatest hits CD in my locker, & he autographed it for me. He was a really down to earth guy, impressed I was a fan. A friend of mine did private duty nursing for a govenor once, she said he was nice, & it was a good job.
A certain famous wrestling and movie star was in our hospital a couple of years ago, broke his ankle during a wrestling match in our city. Gave out autographed photos when he left.
It was funny, had him on CCu and under a woman's name to protect his privacy. My son was a big "wrasslin'" fan at the time and they never did mention the broken ankle during the shows on tv.

Has anyone given any care to a celebrity? You don't have to give names.
