Spitting is assault, and assault of a health care worker is a felony in my state, so I'm all for this individual having been charged with a crime.

However, Hep C requires blood exposure for transmission.

Even though it requires blood transmission, the man THOUGHT it could be transmitted through saliva...in which case the intent was still there.

I like the attempted murder charge.

i agree, it's about intent.

i'd like to see him given double doses of scopolamine/atropine.

that and have to wear a face mask for the rest of his life! Medical personal are exposed to so many infectious diseases that the last thing we need is some nut with one spitting on us. I hope they lock him up, but I aint holden my breath, the article states he has mental problems, now he can plead insanity and get off and out to do it to someone else.
