This is for everyone here at allnurses.com: Today as surfed the internet, I searched for other nursing bulletin boards. Wow what interesting worlds I uncovered. I found one and decided to read thru some of the posts out of curiosity. Man...... How sad it made me. One student had asked a question about the difference between LPN/LVN And an RN. SImple question right? WEll she was slammed because she had RN in her Name. She apologized , said she was almost ready to graduate so she figured it was ok to put it there. I understand some people may have been upset because she wasn't technically a nurse yet but geeez some of the horrible things they said to her were uncalled for. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you here that don't mind us students participating in all the conversations. We learn so much from you. We ,as students, are new at all of this, and sometimes we don't know things we say are wrong or maybe even stupid!! But all of the ALLNURSES clan, have never been anything but friendly and sweet to me.THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I should have clarified, It wasn't on allnurses that I saw this it was on an AOL nursing forum. Sorry guys!!! I was just wanting to say how great you guys are compared to other BB's out there. Allnurses rock!!!:kiss :kiss :kiss

I'm also new to this site, and chose to participate because of the wonderful attitude everyone seems to have. It is a place to ask questions, tell funny stories, b!tch when you are at your wits end and share with each other. It's nice to have a place where you can feel comfortable doing all of those things.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best site on the web !:roll And what has really impressed me is that when somebody happens to be having a bad day or gets a little irritable with someone, there are plenty of others who come to their rescue (of BOTH) and bring back civility !We're all human, we all get grumpy from time to time, and certainly we will not all agree on everything ! But it's a great forum to live, learn and communicate... ..."we are family" ! Thanx , EVERYONE for a wonderful tool, here ! You all are GREAT !
