9 mo of experience

  1. Help.
I am getting married in three months and my fiancé has received a job in a location that we will have to move to. So that means, I'll have to quit my current job that I've only been at for 9 months (new grad job, so I only have that 9 months of experience).
Do you guys think I'll be able to find a job with such little experience? Should I be worried?

Its not the most terrible thing ever. I would start looking for positions in your new location since right now. That way yo may have bigger chances of finding a job. Just be upfront about the reasons why you are applying before 1 year of experience.
    Good Luck!

I would start gathering work references now, preferably in writing. Your marriage and relocation are perfectly acceptable reasons for leaving a position, provided of course you leave in good standing

Just get references now and explain the move. You should not have much trouble finding a new job. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

Please consider sticking out the year, even if it means living separately for three months. The majority of hospitals want a YEAR of clinical experience. Not nine months. What you do over the next three months will affect the trajectory of your career. No chance that the hospital you're working for has a satellite or something nearer where you're going to end up?

If you absolutely, positively can't stick out the year follow the advice you've been given above and congratulations!

Should you be worried? Maybe. Where you're moving to probably has a lot to do with it.
