?a prayer request?

my oldest twin daughter, alicia, is taking her natl registry test as a pharmacy tech today. if anyone has a few spare seconds-please say a prayer for her today? she did a practice test yesterday & only got a 69(70 is required). she didn't do some computations-saying she was too nervous to do them. to that i responded,"i bet you be more relaxed tommorrow during the real thing." now, i wish icould eat those words- but i don't eat till a few hrs /p i wake! one day, she was throwing out ??s on the phone &i would have needed a drug book & a calculater. 2 pharmacists she's worked /c for 3-4 yrs had trouble /c many ??s- but i figure it's like boards- ask many things you really don't need to memorize? she's the more intelectual of the 2- danielle is the artsy-ethereal creature of the universe type. danielle always gets a kick out of how worked-up alicia gets & does her best to escalate that mood. so alicia went to a motel to stay for calm the noc /a this test. she'll probably do fine- but prayers would be appreciated.........thanks, dharma

I just paused and prayed for Alicia to do her very best on the exam, and if her best just happens not to be the "passing score", one good thing she'll always have and that's a very loving and compassionate MOM who cares enough to desire the best for her children. A good mother's love is worth more than any weight in gold. Test can be repeated, but life can't. :)

Dharma...as a Mother of three adult daughters myself, I totally relate to your thoughts about when the easiest times were in being a Mom. ;) :kiss

thank everyone for their words yesterday! i know the prayers helped. last noc she said she had a pretty good feeling about the test. probably the prayers helped to calm her. she says she'll get the results in 4 wks or so- i offered that maybe she could check somewhere earlier on-line????? dear cheerfuldoer, aren't we both lucky to have 3 daughters. i talk /c them most every day at least once. april(oldest) lives about 35-40 mi away & i usually see her & grandbaby morgan 2x/wk. sadly alicia & danielle live 90 mi away & i usually only see them once a wk. luckily, several of their friends drop over still. ours was the house that the kids came over to alot, from the time they were little one-----i bet yours was too!?! i grew-up that way & figured that's how it should be. gotta-go........thanks again.........your words all meant alot to me! :kiss love, dharma

hi dharma....yes, it is wonderful to have three wonderful adult daughters, and most of all, we are best friends with each other. i get to talk to my baby girl everyday, my middle daughter and oldest daughter 1 to 3 times a week, and to my grandchildren a lot too.

when they were growing up, our home was always filled with little girls....overnights, mealtimes, outings together...you name it, some other child or several additional children were present. :)

i did not grow up that way....never spent the night away from home with friends, either......not allowed. i was too afraid to have kids come to my house. even as a kid, i knew it wasn't safe enough for me and my siblings, so why bring other kids to the house. the only time i felt comfortable bringing friends home was during those times my parents were separated, but when my father lived with us, forget it.

here's a photo of my oldest girl and me taken 12 years ago (she was almost 20 at the time......she won't turn 32 until september).

btw: i am the one on the left of the photo, she is on the right of the photo. she's also expecting my first grandchild (a boy) in this picture which is why i have my hand on her belly. :)

so sorry....hope you enjoyed seeing the photo. i deleted it today (august 12th). :)
