Check Edukan - the community colleges of Kansas. Look carefully at the different colleges that make up the system - posters here have said that some are cheaper than others. Have heard no complaints about them. You can also look at Phoenix - but be prepared to pay! What about your own local community college system?
I plan to do cultural anthropology and sociology through Edukan, 6 wk classes in the summer. I know Western Oklahoma State offers 10 day intersession classes, but cultural anthropology isn't offered until summer. I don't think I could deal with the intense format of a 10 day class but it is an option.

I think cultural anthro at WOSC is in the spring and summer, just not the winter intersession. I also need child development and am hoping it is offered in the summer or I will take it elsewhere

They have opened a growth and development class, only 15 spots. You do need permission for the class. I called the nursing department and they said to email the professor. Hope this helps.
Yesterday I figured that I could take my already the semester long business communication class that I am already enrolled in. Then take an 8 week Growth and Development class through Rio Salado from 1/7-3/1 and then another 8 week class at Edukan for cultural anthropology from 3/18-5/4. I haven't checked with my professor to see if these would transfer. This is my back up plan if I don't get into the child and adolescent class that has just opened up at OU. Just thought I'd post my idea in case anyone else was trying to figure out plans and back up plans.
I was reading on other postings on All nurses a lot of people have taken classes at cal campus.

It appears that there are several people who's plans to graduate have been messed up in light of the (late) release of the spring 2013 schedule. I am personally NOT happy that business communication is only offered as 15 weeks and growth and development is not offered at all. Does any one have any suggestion on where I could take an ONLINE growth and development class? I'd also prefer to not have to take fashion and culture, any recommendations on where to take cross cultural perspective ONLINE.
I'm sure I'm not the only person with this issue, so if you have a need to take a gen ed class and want a recommendation go ahead and post!
