GCU 2014 Summer

Published

Anybody else going to be applying? I'm a long shot because I'm applying without all my courses completed, they will be done in the Spring.

HI, I spoke with the advisor in at the tucson campus and they advised 1/16 was the deadline for the TEAS V?? if this is true I want to take the TEAS.

---------------- told my friend january 31st... call tomorrow!!

Hello ebak3r I do not know how to personal message people. I just signed up yesterday. Thank you

I emailed my advisor because I was curious. I've taken the hesi and to be honest it seemed easier than the teas (both are pretty basic). But good luck with either! Can't wait to hear what st. joe's applicants got in!

Hey everyone, this is the exact email I got from my advisor on 1/13: "Great News! We have added more dates through the end of the month and you will still have until January 31st to take the exam and still be eligible to apply for summer 2014." Apparently the TEAS were sold out, which led to them scheduling additional tests and extending the deadline.

Also for those applying to AT Still.... I was told that the average GPA of those accepted last spring was a 3.5 and a 3.7 for fall.

Good luck everyone!

Are you applying for AT still instead of St. Joes?

Yeah, the thought of driving to Phoenix from Chandler about 5 times a week for 16 months was kind of a reality check. I decided that it was more of a priority to be close to campus so I decided to switch to AT Still since it is only about 25 minutes away from me.

Hi!! I was wondering if you are talking about average Science GPA or Overall for AT Still? I am a nervous wreck. I can not wait until the 15th of February.. I also applied to AT Still! We may be in the same program :)

gebriel08, my advisor did not specify if that was the science or overall GPA. I assume she was referring to the overall though! I am nervous as well because I only applied to two schools and I don't really have a backup plan! Hopefully they will still be letting people know mid-February since they are accepting the TEAS until the end of January.

This message is for anyone that has taken the HESI A2 for GCU!

Can you give me any info on the study material you used??

Thank you

rohrer88: hey, i used "evolve reach admission assessment exam review, 2nd edition".. but that was when i took the hesi a-2 for maricopa.. gcu is switching to the hesi, but it will not be the a-2 version..

all applicants will have to take all sections, including math, reading, vocab & general knowledge, grammar, chemistry, anatomy & physiology, learning styles & personality profiles... and you can only take it once!

my advice, study for the teas asap, take it by the 31st and get grandfathered in... there's still space on the 22nd, 24th, 27th, 29th & 31st.. go to atitesting.com!

I agree, I would much rather take the TEAS with reading and math than the HESI with everything! I got a 83.3% on the reading and a 96.7% on the math portion of the TEAS and to study all I did was get a generic nursing entrance exam study guide book from Barnes and Noble and study for a few weeks. I heard that each exam was tailored specifically for that schools program so the HESI wont be the same for GCU and Maricopa schools. Personally I thought the TEAS was actually easier than the Maricopa HESI.
