  1. i can't believe that we are starting block 1 next week!!! yay!!! :)
  2. no interview... :)
  3. whose stoked to start?!? :) me!!!!!!
  4. hey all.. just a fyi - a facebook page was set up for all of us by alexis.. look it up: "GCU Summer 2014 Accelerated Nursing Cohort".. i just went on and it's just her and i so far. we think it'd be another good outlet to post info, tips, etc!! :)
  5. does anyone else NOT have classes posted yet? i still do not... i emailed my advisor and he has yet to reply
  6. go to my.gcu.edu... there on the right side will be 3 boxes.. click on the top one (student) and then log in... my classes still are not up
  7. jmcampb3: i will be getting sneakers.. i've worn danskos in the past and honestly don't really care for them. the pair i found at scrubs is just a lil pair of white sketchers, but all white.. you may want to wait and ask about the gray nike logo.. they may be strict about it, however your scrub bottoms may just cover that part of the shoe up.
  8. jmcampb3: most took about a day to be verified... hep b took a few more days :) i actually toured boswell's site yesterday with my friend (who started there in january)... we have a lake, lol! super excited..!!! :) i have yet to get shoes, but found a pair at scrubs & beyond.. i have gotten 1 set of scrubs... and, yes, block 1 will be the easiest of all blocks (obviously! though from what i heard from my friend, pharm sounds like it's going to be pretty hard - just a ton of info).. our 4 classes will be: (1) nursing communications & (2) nursing fundamentals (essays/projects) & then (3) pharmacology & (4) health assessment (hard! exams).
  9. jmcampb3: yes... :)
  10. hey! i already have mine all done, but here is a place my friend recommended... http://www.anylabtestnow.com (they have locations all over, including mesa & chandler - i think that is your area).. you can see a list of prices under their "find a test" link on the main page. the hep b titer is $49 & the mmr is $129, for example.. they're decent prices for people who don't have insurance, or just choose to not go through insurance. hope this helps. good luck!!! :)
  11. yay! "liked!" lol :)
  12. 2 months to go... and we'll be in nursing school!!! :)
  13. thanks ry! i did reset it and pay, but now i have to upload everything again :/
  14. i have no idea, sorry - i was at the 2nd meeting.
  15. yes, what they meant is that no one will be able to view your documents... everything will be kept confidential due to hipaa.. certified will just verify them and store them for us. we of course need to be cleared so we can enter the hospitals.. it's just for their piece of mind.. and i'm sure a lot easier for gcu to handle! :)
