Hello GCU summer applicants!
I figured someone else would have started a thread by now, but since they haven't I figured I would since the deadline is approaching in less than 2 weeks! I just wanted to know how everyone's application experience is going so far? Hopefully we can answer each others questions and this thread can serve as a place to share experiences especially while waiting for decisions.
I have my background check completed, my fingerprinting is in process, and I'm taking the HESI this week. I am super nervous!
I can't wait to hear from any of you who are applying! Don't be shy :) and good luck everyone!
Sure:
Grand Canyon University's College of Nursing and Health Care Professions recently announced that it is unable to offer a Summer 2015 entry point for Level 1 nursing student placement, also referred to as the secondary acceptance for college Juniors. We know word travels fast in the nursing community, so we are notifying you today of that decision. GCU, in consultation with the Arizona Board of Nursing, made this decision based on faculty and clinical rotation availability.
GCU will be hosting a webinar on Friday, March 27 further explaining the application requirements and methodology for selecting students for the Fall 2015 semester and introducing new criteria that will be implemented for Spring 2016 placement and beyond. We highly encourage you to listen to that webinar so you can determine whether you'd like to continue with the acceptance process for future semesters at GCU.
Registration and times for the Webinar are below:
Your Admissions Representative (ADMR) will be contacting you within the next few weeks to determine whether you plan to move forward with the acceptance process for Fall 2015, ensuring all documents you have on file will not expire by the Fall deadline (May 15, 2015) and that you have a HESI score on record. Your ADMR is also a great point of contact to address any questions or concerns you may have about nursing acceptance in general.
Please know that we are doing everything we can service our students well and guide them on their educational journey. You are valuable to us and we aim to continue helping students find their purpose and achieving their potential.
Kind Regards,

Well just got the official email about it, I love that we inundated them with enough questions that they had to actually respond!
