GCU Summer 2015 hopefuls!

Hello GCU summer applicants!

I figured someone else would have started a thread by now, but since they haven't I figured I would since the deadline is approaching in less than 2 weeks! I just wanted to know how everyone's application experience is going so far? Hopefully we can answer each others questions and this thread can serve as a place to share experiences especially while waiting for decisions.

I have my background check completed, my fingerprinting is in process, and I'm taking the HESI this week. I am super nervous!

I can't wait to hear from any of you who are applying! Don't be shy :) and good luck everyone!

Its not surprising that they will not be giving the Summer applicants priority I never thought that they would.....It just goes to show how little they truly care about how they treated us.

Hi ladies Ive been following your thread. I have to comment that I left chamberlain college of nursing in December. Pm me if you have questions. I was hoping to transfer to GCU in the summer but I can't wait for fall semester so I'm doing something else now. Changing my major. I was a junior at CCN

im trying to reply to you but it says im a new member and cant

Yeah, from what everyone is saying, it looks like we are just going to get thrown into the pool of applicants for the Fall. Even so, they probably wouldn't know how to handle "priority" candidates. Like does a summer applicant that has a 3.4 get in over a new Fall applicant that has a 3.9... It seems too complicated for GCU to figure out, unless they just let us all in and they may not even be able to do that.

Why did you leave chamberlain? I haven't heard good things about them or Brookline, I think because of the type of accreditation they have and the cost?

So what are everyone's plans now?

CEP at Estrella

Looking into the CEP program at Mesa and trying to find other schools that are still accepting apps for fall.

If you find out about any fall programs please let me know!

For me: CEP at gateway, ASU accelerated, and I guess GCUs fall accelerated because I enjoy the pain of rejection! Wish asu had a fall start!

Asu does have a fall start but the app deadline was feb. 1 :(

For an accelerated program or just normal? Seem to be missing all the deadlines by a month, the story of most of my adult life! Looks like a spring start is the most likely for me/most of us then. That's ok, it only pushes back my life plans by three entire years; thanks GCU!!
