Gcu fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

what all did you order? I ordered 2 pairs of scrubs, white nursing shoes, books and still debating on what kind of stethoscope. Any suggestions? I'm buying a couple of other school supplies too. Did anybody else order a badge from the link above? ^ I will be quitting my full time job in two weeks, yikes!

I ordered 3M Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscope, Pink Tube, 28 inch, 2817

Amazon has a variety of colors for $68.00. I really like it. Its super lite and I can definitely hear clearly.

I also ordered 2 pair of scrubs. I ordered the Grey's Anatomy ones from the school. And I ordered and received my name badge from the link I posted.

Hey all,

I don't know if the people who posted here before are still going to see this, but I was wondering what everyones total pre-req GPA, science GPA and HESI scores were that landed them a spot at GCU for the Fall. I am getting a little nervous that my total GPA is lower than most, but the two classes that will raise it I am taking in August and they won't count them. Thank you much appreciated!

My books actually just delivered today... It's only 4 books and 2 access codes... I seriously thought it was going to be a huge stack...???

I also got a Littman II Classic stethoscope it's Chocolate tubing with a Copper bell/diaphragm.

I ordered 2 sets of scrubs.. From the gcuscrubhub.com they suggested... But they told us that the Grey's Anatomy brand is no longer selling their purple.. So they said to NOT order those...?? Which I am bummed about because those tops are SUPER CUTE!! Maybe I can try to buy a top like that from a level 4 student...??

I ordered some shoes also... I chose to get Nike Air Max 90's.. I shall see how comfy they are.. Fingers crossed.

Our badge photos were taken at orientation and they told us they make them and give them to us the first day...??? However I did buy a cute badge holder online...

Oh and I also purchased an Erin Condren planner... I've read a lot about how great they are and perfect for nursing school.. So I made the plunge and hoping it will keep my booty in line!!!! Ha ha ha

Nice, I bought the scrubs from apparel pro.com They still have the Greys anatomy ones in purple with the logo. The badge I'm talking about is a small purple name badge that has your Name,SN ( for Student Nurse) and Grand Canyon University. Its different than the one the school is making with our picture on it. I know Tucson has to have it but, I'm not sure about the other locations.

I applied to the Tucson location and was accepted for this fall.

Hesi:76

GPA:3.47

Science GPA:3.36

If you scroll to the begging of the blog a lot of us posted all of our info. :-) Be positive and stay focused.

Apparel Pro is where I ordered mine from too. I just checked a few days ago, and they still have Greys Anatomy in the right color.

The gcuscrubhub had them listed and so did the apparel pro.. But they specifically told us not to order them because "Grey's Anatomy" isn't making the right purple anymore... I guess they're probably going to continue to sell the rest of their stock of it and than it'll be discontinued.. I've already ordered the other ones... ? ah well... Grrrrrrr

Yeah I was told to order from scrubhub and that is where I got mine. I would have loved to get Greys Anatomy too. Oh well...

Hi guys,

I am about to enter my third semester at GCU Tucson campus. This thread is really long so I didn't read the entire thing but as far as scrubs go the size chart on apparel pro is not great. I ordered a large pant my first time and it was way too big. If you guys actually live in Tucson there is a store called Jeri's uniforms that carries the scrubs and you can try them on and they also embroider them with the proper logo. If there are any questions I can help you guys with let me know :D
