Gcu fall 2014 hopefuls

Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

In Tucson we got your syllabus for our skills labs that we have twice a week. I'm excited. I have skimmed through the books and it makes me nervous lol so much info.

i still need to find shoes! I think I'm just gonna get some white pumas....

Sure! It's just here on this site, but it's the student assistance section. There are discussions there that give you an idea of things we will be learning. Nursing process, diagnosis, and care plans etc.. The administrators on there are very helpful, but they won't do the work for the students that come there for help, but they will help you get going in the right direction of how the nursing student should be thinking etc...

Yeah I was told to order from scrubhub and that is where I got mine. I would have loved to get Greys Anatomy too. Oh well...

Have you received your scrubs yet?? I ordered mine on July 31st and haven't gotten them... nor any notification...???

Hi guys,

I am about to enter my third semester at GCU Tucson campus. This thread is really long so I didn't read the entire thing but as far as scrubs go the size chart on apparel pro is not great. I ordered a large pant my first time and it was way too big. If you guys actually live in Tucson there is a store called Jeri's uniforms that carries the scrubs and you can try them on and they also embroider them with the proper logo. If there are any questions I can help you guys with let me know :D

Do you have any tips on reading ahead? Or any specific school supplies that we will need besides the basic note books,pens,pencils?

I start at the Tucson campus next week! Have you been to the new campus yet? I had a friend that went last week and she said it doesn't look ready...... So we will see.

No scrubs yet. I ordered them about two weeks and nothing still. No notifications either. I believe my expected date is for 8/21 yikes! I also have the syllabus for our labs and I am already feeling a little worried about the reading, ugh....

Any additional recommendations on school supplies aside from the basics? I still need planner, digital recorder and backpack, all on my to do list for this week.

My expected date was 8-12... luckily I called them today... turns out they had a new employee around the time I ordered and they never processed my order!!!!! OMGeeeee how irritating. So they told me my order should be shipping tomorrow or Thursday. . UGH!!!!

Oh my! I probably should call too just to make sure everything is ok. That's nerve wrecking since we don't have much time. Thanks for the heads up! Crossing my fingers we get them on time!

Exactly! My lab day is on Tuesdays... soooo hopefully I won't get in trouble for not having scrubs... but maybe our first week or two will be casual until we are all prepared... ?

You should definitely call and check on yours... I'm sure they've messed up other orders too.
