Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

So for those of you who have more recently posted about taking the HESI, how was it? I am also waiting for the posting of May dates to schedule test. Background check is done, and I am finishing up my last two courses in a couple of weeks.

I just took the hesi last week as well as ordered my background check/fingerprint card. I'm in English now and enrolled in chem and stats over the summer :-/

What were your scores on the Hesi?

Reading-90%

Grammar- 86%

Vocab- 90%

Math- 82%

Chem- 60%

A&P- 64%

Its been years since I've taken A&P and have yet to take Chem and it's shows! However, the lady who proctored the exam at main campus said chem and A&P are not looked at as much as the other categories so I was relived to hear that. Contrary to what I was told, we don't take the bio portion of the exam.

My background check was completed in less than a week and they a couple different states to look through. It goes fast! ?

I cant believe we have about 3 weeks left till we begin the wait! LOL I have heard we will have to do interviews... My counselor said we could get called right before the 15th or after. so im a little nervous since I think this process is new.

I wonder if that's just a Tucson thing? I haven't heard anything about an interview and was told we find out through email.

You're taking bio, chem and psych over summer? Makes me feel better knowing someone else will be taking classes over summer as I'll be taking chem and stats.

I was taking chemistry this semester online but dropped it so I'll be doing it this summer in person . I'm also retaking 202 because I don't remember anything and I want it to be fresh!
