Hi guys..I applied to the LVN to RN for Winter/Spring 2018. Got a denial letter on November 9th. Responded to keep me on file if a seat opens. Got an email today saying a seat has opened and I've been accepted in. I'm beyond excited. I sent back my intent letter right away. Yayy..my teas score was a 79%.
First time applying. Any other LVN''s get in? Let's connect.
Oh I also have another question regarding the program. Not sure if anyone can answer this question, but when I filled out the application, it didn't ask me anywhere if I preferred the standard or weekend/evening option. I applied to the program based on the fact that
they had the weekend/evening option. Does anyone know how that works? Do they ask you after you get accepted?

Hello! I'm actually a 1st semester student in the program and to answer your question, there should have been an option to select your preference of Standard or Weekend/Evening. Now, this doesn't guarantee that you will be given your choice, but it should have let you pick a preference. I was initially denied, then waitlisted, then accepted. At that point I was willing to take whatever they had space in, haha! Best of luck!!!
Thanks. There was nothing on the application asking..I triple checked it. I was asked at the initial required orientation that everyone must attend before even applying. I think I filled out a paper and it asked. But when I got my acceptance email it didn't mention anything. I'm kinda nervous because I have a small child at home and I'm with her during the day. I emailed the department today to ask. Thanks.

Hi everyone! For those of you who have emailed your intent forms, have you received your fingerprinting/drug screening information yet? I sent in my intent form last Friday and haven't heard anything back yet. I did email them this morning to follow up, I was just curious!
Thanks!
Hi...I got my backrgroud/drug screening info the same day I mailed back intent letter.
I called and spoke to them and the options are available at the orientation. Relieved! She said they do not ask during the application process.
Thanks!! I guess they might have missed mine because they were swamped with emails- but I finally got the info today.

Hello everyone! I just got told today that a seat had become available for me for the alternative weekend/evening RN program for GCC in California. I sent in my intent form right away! Is anyone else going to be attending the alternative program in CA for the winter/spring 2018 semester?
BTW, I had been rejected from LAPC, LAVC, LACC, LACCN&AH, COC and originally GCC before I finally got a spot through the wait list.
Please don't give up hope and keep applying and reapplying! Good luck to you all.
Hey there! I was on the alternate list and was offered a position for the weekend/evening program as well! Looks like we're going to be classmates!!
Hiya that's awesome! Nice to meet you :)
Do you know the schedule of the alternative program? I'm planning to drive there on Monday to get more information but I'm impatient lol
