Just thought I would start a new thread about Galen. Anything and everything Galen can be posted here! Please feel free to share, or ask questions!

I am still waiting on my acceptance letter, and am going crazy:bugeyes:! Hopefully, I will be starting July 27th.:yeah:

If anyone is having problems tracking down your shot records (like I was), try your high school/elementary school. The nurse at the health department is going to look at that record and then sign off on the paperwork.

Hi INParrothead! I contacted Jefferson County School records and all of my immunization records have been destroyed. I have to bite the bullet and get the shots again. I can't afford the titers, they cost around $165.

I hate shots, but I've gotta do what I've gotta do!

I hope everyone else is doing well! I was thinking that maybe since we are all talking to eachother and want to meet eachother either before classes start or when classes start, maybe we could all post our pictures on Galen's facebook page. That way we would all know the faces of the people that we have been talking to. It's just an idea. Just let me know if anyone else is interested in doing that.

Hey slmcdo05! I think that's a good idea. I didn't even think about Galen having a facebook page(duh!!). I just joined the group. So hopefully everyone else jumps on board:)

Ok all you Shox Lovers!! The place I found the all white leather shox, was not a reputable merchant. I have just settled a dispute and got my money back. That's why I did not want to pass any information on to you all and then the same thing happens to you. I'm going to call Galen and aske if the shoe can have gray on it (like the shox area) because those are in the stores. I was told they had to be all white. If that's the case, Nike is discontinuing those. I will post what I find out.

Hey 1stlady I asked that question at my financial aid appt and was told they have to be all white. I asked about the shox that you are talking about in paticular. I found a pair of cool Nike's, the old classic style, at Shoe Carnival for $60. They have a very thin light gray stripe in the sole that is barely noticeable. I think they will be ok.

Thanks michelleb72. I just got off the phone with Angie Metten and she said to just stick with all white because it could vary from quarter to quarter. She said one clinical instructor might not mind a little gray and the next one could say no gray whatsoever. I guess, I will be getting the classics or something. Oh well:(
