  1. You're welcome! :)
  2. Hi jsadler827! The skills you do for cpe's in 2nd qtr are nasal tracheal suctioning, nasogastric tube insertion, piggy back IV, med administration, and insulin administration. Hope that helps! :)
  3. Hi jsadler827! You will use your paperback Fundamentals book in 2nd quarter. You won't use the hardback one again though. :)
  4. daydreams, you will need to call the school and set up a financial aid appointment with a financial aid advisor. When you meet with them they will explain everything to you. They are very helpful! I had to get student loans, but I didn't get very much help because of mine and my husband's income from the previous year put together. It all depends on your income and they always go by the previous year's income. Good luck! :)
  5. You're welcome! :)
  6. Hi jsadler827! I am currently a student at Galen. The mailboxes they are talking about are in filing cabinets located at both campuses. They aren't really mailboxes. There should be a file folder inside the filing cabinet with your name on it and that is where you will receive stuff from the school. Hope that helps! :)
  7. No problem! :)
  8. Hi daydreams! I am currently a student at Galen and I LOVE it!! I am half-way done with LPN. The courses aren't too bad as long as you study. I have to do a lot of studying, but I just tell myself that it will be worth it in the end. If you don't study, then the courses will be pretty hard. You can do it! Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions! :)
  9. Hi wishinguponastar! Congrats on getting accepted into the program! I am a current student at Galen. I am almost finished with my first quarter. I LOVE Galen!! It is such a great school and I have made so many great new friends. It is a very fast-paced program (if you are going to be in the day classes). I have to study a lot! The instructors give you power points and I suggest you read those. There is no homework during first quarter. It is just all studying! You will get the hang of it though after a couple of weeks. It goes by so fast too!! Good luck! If you have any other questions, just ask! :)
  10. Boy am I glad I didn't choose to go to MedTech after reading these posts!! I got in to a nursing school in Louisville, Kentucky called Galen College of Nursing. I started last week and absolutely LOVE it!! They treat everyone equally and everything is done the way it's supposed to be done. It's great! I am so happy I decided to look into other schools besides MedTech! I don't know of any other nursing schools in the Greenwood area though, UnhappyMTCstudent! I'm sorry!! Good luck though! :)
  11. Wow, that is really short notice, Laurencarol! Congratulations though for definitely getting in for the October class!!!!
  12. Thank you so much INparrothead!! :)
  13. Sorry, slmcdo05! We must have both replied to jsadler at the same time...haha! :)
  14. Hi jsadler827! It takes one week to get your results back. Good luck!! :) Also, kltdy thanks for posting the info about the books! I have a question though, which classes do we have the first quarter? I looked at the book list on EdMap and it showed all of the classes for the whole year. I only want to buy the books for the 1st quarter right now. Thanks!! :)
  15. Thank you krltdy! I figured it might just be the top, but wanted to make sure.
