GA Highlands students please help!

Published

I'm about to submit my application to the nursing program at GA Highlands and I am so confused by the "nursing program worksheet". I don't want to fill it out wrong and have it go in the trash! If you haven't taken some of the courses do you just put something like N/A or "not taken" in the line for grade and 0 in the line for points? So basically not having taken a course is the same as failing it, correct? Also, does anyone know what admission score is considered competitive? Thank you so much!!!:bowingpur

I know I'm probably not a very competitive applicant because there's a few pre-reqs I haven't taken but I figured it can't hurt to apply, I just may get lucky!:D

yes, i'm in the wellstar scholar's program. we go to the southern poly campus

Were you asked to interview w/ Wellstar before you were accepted into the fall program?

yes, when i got accepted into the nursing program i got an email bout the wellstar program, filled out an application and was chosen to interview, then accepted

Thank you for answering my questions.... So, you were accepted first, then interviewed. I am so anxious to hear something. This next month is really going to drag for me. I am too anxious!

i gaduate next may and i'm wondering if it will ever come!!

One more question. Do you happen to remember your application worksheet score?

O.k., more than one more question.:lol_hitti How long have you been in the program?

i think my score was 1100, this is my second semester in the program, finished 1101, doing 1102 now

Thanks for getting back w/me on your score. I've been really curious about what is competitive...So, I think I have a good shot at getting in. Now, I am just hoping that I can get the Southern Poly campus, so that my clinicals are at Kennestone. Have you started any clinicals?

we did med/surg clinicals last semester, this is labor/delivery, pediatrics, and mother/baby. labor/ delivery was a blast, got to see 6 c-sections (one 27 weeks, one with a hysterectomy) and 2 lady partsl deliveries. peds was depressing, didn't enjoy seeing little sick kids (went to scottish rite) go to mother/baby next week, not sure how thatll go

Can't wait for it! I signed up as a volunteer up at Wellstar. I attend orientation next Thursday. I wanted to familiarize myself w/hospital setting.

i work as a nurses assistant. i'm in the float pool at kennestone, they hire so many students to try to help us learn our way around. we're called student nurse externs
