GA Highlands students please help!

I'm about to submit my application to the nursing program at GA Highlands and I am so confused by the "nursing program worksheet". I don't want to fill it out wrong and have it go in the trash! If you haven't taken some of the courses do you just put something like N/A or "not taken" in the line for grade and 0 in the line for points? So basically not having taken a course is the same as failing it, correct? Also, does anyone know what admission score is considered competitive? Thank you so much!!!:bowingpur

I know I'm probably not a very competitive applicant because there's a few pre-reqs I haven't taken but I figured it can't hurt to apply, I just may get lucky!:D

I know you posted this awhile ago but I acutally spoke to someone today about the "points" and I was told that for the Spring semester the range of points were 1800 to 1100. Hope that helps you!

Thank you! I actually just found out a few weeks ago that I got in!!!! I'm starting in January.

Well you were obviously in the range! Yeah! I calculated my score and I think I will make it too! I am applying for Fall of 09. Have you heard what they are looking for as far as the Southern Polytech campus? Also, I would love to know what your schedule looks like i.e. how many days a week, hours a day etc. Congrats to you!:wink2:

I really don't know much about the schedule of the program or what they're offering on different campuses. I have orientation on 12/15 so hopefully I'll know more then! I think we're at the Rome campus for the most part but we may do Nurs 1102 in Marietta. I don't care which campus I'm at, I'm just excited to get in! Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll do great!

I am starting a GHC in the spring but im doing my pre reqs. I did just go to orientation on Friday and as far as the SPSU campus goes I was told Wellstar picks 25 nursing students ONLY FROM THE FALL and they pay for their school as long as they commit 3 years to working for them and those 25 students are the only ones at SPSU. Hopefully you can verify this for me when you go next month! Also I would love to know how the times and days and everything will work also! Cant wait to hear back from you in December!

What you said about the 25 students at the Marietta Campus is true. That was confirmed to me on the phone this week by the head of nursing.

I am also very interested in the days of the week etc. so if anyone out there can give up an idea as to what to expect please send us a post! Be specific! Thanks!:nuke:

I know that it has been awhile since you posted this thread, but I have a question for you. I saw that you were eventually accepted into the program. I just applied for fall of this year to GA Highlands and I have all the prereq's except a nutrition class. If I have a 3.8 gpa. and a 890 SAT. Do you think that I am competitive?

To JW, you sound like you'd be competitive to get in! Good luck!

To everyone who wanted to know about the schedule, we go 3 days a week and have one online class day. We do everything at the Heritage Hall campus in Rome. So far so good, I really love the program. Good luck to everyone trying to get in!

Thanks, for your reply. Did you have all twelve prereq's at the time of your application?

the southern poly students go 4 days a week (mon thru thurs) until clinicals and then its 2 days a week at the hospital.

dtinnan, Are you currently in the GA highland/ Southern Poly Tech campus program?
