Anyone on the same boat? Will be submitting in October.

Thanks, I'll definitely bring it up to my recruiter. I  have a feeling I'd have to submit a note from my physician as well.
I know this is not an application related question , I hope you don't mind me asking — how do you like being a Navy nurse? What is the day to day like?
I've reached out to navy nurses on instagram to hear about their experience, but I haven't had any luck getting feedback .

I'm in the scrolling process which means I'm waiting for my official approval from Congress. I haven't sworn in or get an ODS date yet. I will say that finding up to date information about Navy Nursing is limited.

Agree! I'll take all the feedback I can get.
That's exciting! Once you get approval —do you sign service agreement , commission then get a ship date to ODS?
what was timeline like for you (application/MEPS/ going on a board)?

Yes. I've signed a MOU Memorandum of Agreement just waiting for commission and ODS date. I started the process Oct '22 and completed the packet/sent to boards Oct '23. Received my professional review board result Jan '24, and now I'm waiting for my scroll.

Are you asking how long it takes to get an appointment for MEPS or how long you'll be at MEPS? Your recruiter should have discussed what rank you would be entering as. Generally,  New Grad - <2 years experience = O1; 2 - 4 years experience = O2; 5+ years = O3. You officially know your rank when you sign the MOU which will break down how much credit you've earned in your CIV experience that will count towards rank.

Lets just my recruiter is not the most responsive, im just on the initial documents to be sent to her im just hoping she would be more responsive after this step. My questions is after I sent this documents and forms how long until I would expect MEPS. With the rank I ask her about it she just told me I will know after they process my credentials. But thanks for that info im 14 yrs nurse with MSN so hopefully I can get in as O3

If you sent the initial documents to be reviewed by program manager , my recruiter told me it can take anywhere 1-2 months or could take even longer .

I think getting a MEPS appointment varies. I believe I got an appointment 3 - 4 months after starting paperwork. I did MEPS first then interviews. I would expect you to enter as an O3 with that many years experience.

I was in a similar situation as you. I was in contact with a recruiter that was not responsive. I sent over my resume/license/transcript to her email and she never got back to me. So, I reached out to a navy nurse in Okinawa and he got me connected to a recruiter from Portsmouth VA. Spoke to a male recruiter last Friday, submitted documents and he gave me confirmation that papers were sent over to program manager the same night.

This recruiter told me the next step would be filling out the application then going through security clearance process . Once you're done with that part you submit medical paperwork and wait to get schedule to go to MEPS . If you're cleared through MEPS. You move on to credentialing, which I'm told can take long to process.

Are you from VA? because initially I reach out to a nice recruiter out of my home state but she forwarded me to the local one. Thanks for the response

Any of you applied to multiple branches? because im on the initial process also with airforce, I really don't mind which branch I just want to get started. My question is it a bad idea to do that?
