Anyone on the same boat? Will be submitting in October.

I've just reached out to a recruiter and I'm waiting for information. Did you go through the process and if so, what did your timeline look like?

Yes. I'm still in the process. Should hear back in a few days. I started the process Nov. 2022 and my application was turned into the boards Oct. 2023.

OMG! ? Is there a reason why it took a year? I am in the process for Army and there has been so much back and forth that at this point I've started contacting other branches.

Background check , LoR, medical eval, interviews, and the other paperwork is what took the most time.

Well I know I've been to MEPs this year so I was told I'd be good on that even though it's another branch. Are you Med/Surg? I wasn't sure if they wanted certain things like certs or print outs of hours worked if they require a minimum.

Cool! Congratulations on being accepted! I spoke to a recruiter today and got the checklist tot put together.

Specializes in Emergency, Cath lab, quality.

I got in touch with an HMC recruiter . I have 6 years of experience in ER, cath lab and my current job as a quality nurse. I submitted my resume/license/credentials to recruiter. This resume will be submitted to program manager for review to determine if there are slots for ER speciality . The issue I'm having is that my ER experience dates back to sept 2021 , I moved on to another speciality after that. They prefer current ER experience, but as per recruiter they can consider my experience if it is within last 3 years. I am hoping to hear back this upcoming week.

Thank you ! I appreciate that. By any chance, would you happen to know if I'd need a medical waiver for medical history of Rhabdomyolysis? I was admitted to the hospital for it for in Feb 2023 for 3 days.

So I had back pain from a work related incident that did not result in hospitalization. I had to give my recruiter the results of the X-ray and a note from my physician that this would not interfere with the job duties that I will perform. This question would be best to ask your recruiter.
