- Hello everyone, I am trying to get to the RN program with Hersing college here in Orlando FL, and I am going to take my NET february 8th 2008, i was wondering, how is the net test? is it close the the www.testprepreview.com ?
i have been studying for the NET based on the exemple from testprepreview, and i am doing all right, i missed only 2 question out of the 60!
my question is, will it be similar, to that? or harder? is that only basic algebra or more? will it also have TRIGonometry?
thank you for your help
Carlos
The NET was a breeze. I briefly studied from "Study Guide for The NET, The HOBET, and the HELP Entrance Tests". I found the test to be almost IDENTICAL to the practice problems in this book. The website to purchase the book is www.eriworld.com. Don't overthink the test too much - if you payed attention in jr. high, you're golden.:nuke:
I wonder if ERI is in charge to give and score all NETs in the US.I am concerned about going back to the previous section durigng the NET (paper and pencil version)if I have some time left. Some people told me that they were allowed to do it and some did not.
Any opinion please.
You shouldn't be allowed to go back to earlier sections as it is a timed test and the score is somewhat based on that. If a school is letting some do that they shouldn't be. I agree that it isn't fair. I can't believe the school doesn't know better. They should.
I just took NET. It wasn't hard at all. If you know basic math and Algebra, you will be fine. The only thing that made me nervous was the time factor. The site you mentioned is good. Just try to work on your time and you should be fine. Also, your reading comprehention. The intructor I had that prepared me for the test said that most people have trouble with this part of the test. GOOD LUCK!
Just out of curiousity, did your school provide an NET class? I am going to take my test right after I finish Algebra (I already took Elementary Algebra and am now taking Intermediate Algebra). I really hope taking all these classes will be good when it comes to taking the test. What state did you take it in?
Other than the website listed, what are some good sites, etc that are good at helping me study for the test? Thanks!!
I took the NET in October, I'm a nursing student now, but there was only 2 algebra questions on the test. It's not anything to stress over, I went in stressssssssssed and came out with a 99%. Just study, do not stress and you will be shocked now easy it is. Best Wishes!!:w00t:
What state did you take your test at?

Get the ERI study guide if at all possible. I bought mine from Ebay. The study guide will help you be comfortable with what you'll be experiencing on the test. The study guide is exactly like the test. It is worth the investment. I scored in the 99th percentile composite. Prepare just like you would for any other test. You'll do just fine!
