Future Kaiser Students?

Hello from a new member!!! I am really enjoying browsing this board.

I know interviews started this week at Kaiser. Has anyone here interviewed? If so, how did it go? Mine is next week, I think I'm probably last. Any responses from future or current students would be great!

My friend just got an acceptance letter too!! Boy does she have a lot of decisions to make now.

Some people know me too well, t-dog! I too am thinking today is the day and the news will be good. Have to think positively, right? Thanks to you guys that got in for posting about the $$ and things. I have so many unanswered questions...i.e. why are all those requirements for car insurance, California DRIVER'S license, etc. due June 1st, when school starts in august? I can understand the nursing license. Does anyone know anything about that?

Berliner, I think that if they told you to reapply, then you are a good candidate and have a chance. Why would they tell you to come back (and waste their time) if you aren't a good candidate? Hang tough, and be like a pit bull. Get the CCRN.

As for the insurace etc thing- California regards that as one of the many requirements of a nurse- being a good example= we should promote healthy behaviors.

I think the CA license insurance is required because you are required to have a car by the time you start the program. In California, all drivers must show proof of insurance whether or not you're a nurse....

It finally came and I'm accepted What a huge relief. Looking forward to meeting the rest of you this fall. All that hard work is finally paying off. yippee. Now I can't wait for that traumadog's letter :angryfire

Thank you NCgirl. That's what I love about this board....everyone is supportive and kind. What school are you at? I have a friend that just started at Duke.

I'm in 2nd semester at Carolinas Healthcare System/ UNCC in Charlotte. I love it here, can't complain about a thing. But I must say my first official day of clinical is in two weeks, and I'm scared silly. I keep telling myself, that yes- I was once a practicing nurse taking care of critical patients. It's hard to remember that after being a classroom for a semester and a half. I can't wait!!!
