Don't give up all hope yet! I too have been watching the days ticking by on your posts, remembering how it felt to be watching and waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting...

Actually, I found out by accident also, I had to go to the Nursing directors office for something related to me not getting in that year, and the secretary said "Oh, by the way, I was just getting your letter ready to go, you got in!" I was shocked, but very happy!

Hopefully that pleasant shock is just around the corner for you!

its ONE long semester - you may not be there this semester - but you WILL be there soon. Don't let one schools failure to accept be interpreted as you aren't going to get in anywhere!!

There are other options. Don't rule out a school based on money either - there are ways around that!

You've come WAY too far to give up now! Hang in there, girl! If you get the letter today and it's not good news, just sign up for those classes toward your BSN and re-apply next semester. As passionate as you are, I bet those BSN classes won't go to waste as you'll be in there trying to do that RN-BSN bridge one day soon.

Also, I hear that Navarro in Corsicana isn't nearly as difficult to get into. That's not exactly close to where you live, but it's not too far to commute, either.

your gpa is great - can you call the school? I am wondering if your dang letter was lost in the mail or something. How could you not get in with your gpa when someone with an overall 2.5 got in?? Regardless, best of luck and keep trucking. I've heard that if you take a pathophysiology class and do well, it can push you over the hump - perhaps you could do that spring semester?

El Centro's admission process goes soley by the GPA of the 4 pre-req classes, unless tie breakers are needed.

If there happened to have been at least 110 people apply with a 4.0, then they get the seats, no matter their GPA on or amount of support courses completed.

Doesn't seem right, but that's just how it is. My 30 credits with 2 B's doesn't outweigh their 19 credits with 2 C's.

Oh well, if I don't get in, I'm seriously considering another CC or going for my BSN. :)

I am still waiting for my letter just like fun2care but rumors have it that the competition was too much this semester.

I too am prepared to just take whatever comes my way and try again next semester if push comes to shove.
