Hi guys!! Ive lingering around on this website for maybe a few years.... I'm 28, and I have always always considered being a nurse. I am totally excited to finally make this decision, and just go with it! Just one question.... I want to go to CCP - Community college of Philadelphia, for their nursing program! And their pre-reqs are a few classes, but I believe their nursing program starts next year? Its too late to apply for this year, and I havent even completed some of their pre-reqs yet. So when I apply to this school... should I declare a liberal arts major & then take the pre-reqs, or do I go onto the non-matriculated route? What's the difference? I already have some credits... I have B's in AP I & II. I have general class credits, and A in Developmental Psych. But I still have to take Bio & chem, and I suppose another Math. I am hoping to start that this summer & Fall? Before the deadline to apply in Jan of next year..... Which route makes sense? Non Matriculated or just declare liberal arts for now, and then when I am done just apply to the nursing program.. ? THANKS GUYS! Totally pumped! If there are any other suggestions, or any opinions, I'll be happy to lisetn! (or read...lol) -

Make an appointment to talk to a nursing advisor at the school to find out the specifics of what you need to do. Most schools have a prenursing major for those that are working on nursing school admittance. The nursing program link will have a list of the necessary prerequisite courses.
Thank you! ... I Almost mightve posted this in the wrong section.. Sorry guys!

Yeah, pre nursing. I met with an advisor and went over everything I needed to take, she registered me that first time and put me in as pre nursing.
Oh really??? Didn't know that! So I should just do that then ... Where did you even begin? I feel a little lost
when you applied, did you apply online? Did you have to take the placement test? Blah.
