FSW spring 2017

Published

Anybody applying for the nursing program at FSW for the spring in 2017? I plan to take my TEAS sometime August or September, does anyone know what the passing score is? And have you finished all your prerequisites and general ed? The only prereqs I have left to do is A&P2, nutrition, and micro. But still have all the general eds left to do. But you don't have to have all the general eds finished before applying right? Sorry, I'm new at this.

PERFECT THANKS!

Yes another Collier person! We'll be classmates we should totally study together.

Anyone else stressed about the video we have to make? I'm in the process of outlining in general what I want to say however, this seems a little much :/ I would almost rather have a face to face interview lol

I'm definitely stressing about it too. I do much better in person. I am working on my answers too. UGH.

I wish they did it last year so we can see what they are looking for.

Yeah that would be nice, now when were are entering the program they decided to change things up ughhh. We'll in guess all we can do is the best we know how.

I'm stressing also man. I have no clue how I'm gonna answer that question in 5 minutes honestly that's pretty difficult. Plus the fact that there's bound to be some awkward pauses and some "uhh"s which is super bad.

I kinda like the fact that we can video tape ourselves. We can write out our answer accordingly and then memorize it and then redo the tape as much as we want until we think it's perfect

That's a good point, I'm just hoping I can make my video the full 5 minutes long í ½í¹ƒ

What is everyone's opinion on the length of the video? Do you think it needs to be the full five minutes, or do you think that is just the maximum time? I'm so worried about saying too much or too little, or sounding like I'm rushing.

Also is anyone reading off a paper for reference during their video? I tried literally 100+ times today to record and it is so much more awkward and difficult than I expected it to be. Mainly because I was doing it from memory and I felt so awkward staring at the camera the whole time and just talking a full 5 minutes.. Without looking away or anything. It's also hard to pause naturally when you're not actually reading off of something. :bored:

Hi everyone! I am trying to figure out my housing situation in regards to this nursing program. I am wondering if anyone knows just what our course outline is. For example, since we're accepted for the Spring, does that mean that we're in school from Spring all through summer and have a break for the winter? Or if we have school for Spring, skip summer, and start back up in the fall? If anyone knows about this, or where I could find information on this, that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Nursing classes run in spring and fall only, so we will have Summer's off :)

If you look in the college catalog under ASN it gives you the course sequence for each semester.
