Hello Everybody. My name is Keesh. I'm starting this thread a little early to get a head start on things. I was looking into starting nursing school in the Spring of 2018, but things come up. Now I'm going to start in the FALL. I'm currently looking into the FSW ANEW program which works better with my work schedule. I was told by a student the ANEW program is just like being in the FULL TIME program except it's online. It consist of hard work, time consuming and dedication. I plan to apply for LEE campus as well.
*CHOW
Charlotte won't have ANEW with less than 20 qualified applicants, I heard. On the fsw asn site there are numbers: acceptance rate, teas gpa points ranges etc. The ones up now are for spring and really different from fall in sure we all know by now. I have a screen shot of fall 2017 numbers. Doesn't seem I can upload a pic anywhere. If anyone wants the screen shot i will email it to you. Spring acceptance was 60 something % and fall 2017 was 40%. UF and UM undergrad is 38%. Just to give a hint at competitiveness.
I guess we will see in a few weeks if they will have a ANEW program or not. Did they have a ANEW program last fall? The numbers may be different if they didn't since they can accept more due to the new program
Can you please email me the FSW 2017 fall stat photo? Thanks!
Welcome to the forum Tony! What campus is your to choice and which program?
I assume both. I've started studying pharmacology lol. I only have 1 class in each summer A and B. I have time. It's hard. So why not? Bought a couple books. So far a lot is digestible and its due to my amazing A&P professor :) I figure i will be in nursing school somewhere, even if I don't get into FSW.
Hey guys! Now second semester nursing student, so I definitely survived the first semester. My group filled out all the necessary orientation forms for our next clinical site, which is another hospital in the area. We're still waiting to hear who is teaching our semester, because the Level II professor retired. Some of us are finishing up our pre-reqs. I'm pretty sure my entire 24 person class made it through the first semester (and pharm), so you guys can too.
My guess is if your application pool is anything like ours, you might be hearing back from the admissions committee around next Tuesday. They normally send out emails around 3pm, so just a heads up.
If you guys have any questions, y'all have access to now two Level II nursing students. I'm from the Collier traditional group and I know a little bit about the Collier ANEW program, because their instructor works closely with my instructors.
Good luck everyone!
