Hello Everybody. My name is Keesh. I'm starting this thread a little early to get a head start on things. I was looking into starting nursing school in the Spring of 2018, but things come up. Now I'm going to start in the FALL. I'm currently looking into the FSW ANEW program which works better with my work schedule. I was told by a student the ANEW program is just like being in the FULL TIME program except it's online. It consist of hard work, time consuming and dedication. I plan to apply for LEE campus as well.
*CHOW
I'm in Tampa right now taking another shot at the teas at USF. Test as 2:00. Might be applying from parking lot. I give everything my best shot. This is definitely my best shot. I have an 82. Looking for an 85. If this doesn't work I'm joining a band and touring the world and leaving my family. Except I cannot play an instrument, nor sing well. Come! On! 85!
:) I have a low first attempt GPA. Need TEAS points.
My opinion is, TEAS score is a better indicator than GPA. the TEAS is universal to all test takers. Grades are subject to not only student performance but the rigor of course work and unfortunately instructor effectiveness. I know students who have A's and scored below a 60 on the TEAS.

I was surprised on some of the scores I heard from the student who do well in class, but couldn't score high enough on the TEAS. Just hoping we get acceptances on June 15. Did you get the 85 for the teas?
I think scores on the TEAS have a lot to do with education, but equally as much to do with how much you study. I took the TEAS without studying and got a 74. I took it again after studying (a lot) for a week and got a 90. The little details (especially in the A&P) were familiar to me the first time, but I couldn't remember exact functions and the details in the specific questions, so I think I got a lot of them wrong. I just needed to refresh my memory!
Just submitted application. God.
I got an 84.7 LOL I hope they round up! Would give me 73 points.
I GOT 100% IN MATH! Had a 94 last time. Improved a bit in all areas except science. Science, I consider my strength, i got 75. Meh. Whatever. Tried so hard.
I saw too, in classmates, high grades low TEAS.
June 15th you think?
Charlotte won't have ANEW with less than 20 qualified applicants, I heard. On the fsw asn site there are numbers: acceptance rate, teas gpa points ranges etc. The ones up now are for spring and really different from fall in sure we all know by now. I have a screen shot of fall 2017 numbers. Doesn't seem I can upload a pic anywhere. If anyone wants the screen shot i will email it to you. Spring acceptance was 60 something % and fall 2017 was 40%. UF and UM undergrad is 38%. Just to give a hint at competitiveness.
