Is there anyone planning to apply for FSCJ's Summer 2011 RN program? I am taking A&PI and II next semester with Human Growth and Dev. and Sociology, then I'll apply. I am taking Microbiology during the spring prior to going into the program. I am taking the Nat in September after Chem 1032. What about you?

I think we are talking about the same thing.
I am kind of in the same situation that you are in. I graduate in May with my AA degree, I have a 4 week course that begins in March that I may consider dropping and holding off until I get acceppted because my husband is the only one working right now and I know that I can not pay out of pocket for anything. I guess I will go and see an advisor soon.
What do you guys know about the St. John's State College in Orange Park? I plan on applying to them in May if I dont get in at FSCJ.
Hey Guys! Just wanted to wish everyone good luck in this waiting game! I applied without my micro points so we will see if it is enough. If the cut off is similar to last summer I should be good, but it seems to get more competitive each semester....keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

What was the cut off for last summer?
OH MY GOSH, I know! I dropped my application off at the end of last week, hoping to feel some relief, but they said 8 weeks, and there was no relief at all. Its a shame, we go from stressing out to get the most points, to stressing out during the waiting time, to stressing out while we're in the program (hopefully at least!)
I'm curious.....are you all residents of Duval County? I was told that since I live in St. John's county to not even bother to apply because regardless of my credentials, they take all qualified applicants from Duval before even looking at other candidates. What have you heard about this?
FLhusker, they do usually take some St. Johns County applicants, just not very many. It is true that Duval County students are picked first, but I believe they set aside some spots for out of county students. You can always call the North campus and ask them directly. If you have a high number of points it's always worth a try :) I personally am a Duval County resident.
