Is there anyone planning to apply for FSCJ's Summer 2011 RN program? I am taking A&PI and II next semester with Human Growth and Dev. and Sociology, then I'll apply. I am taking Microbiology during the spring prior to going into the program. I am taking the Nat in September after Chem 1032. What about you?
OK so I FINALLY turned in my applicationSo the wait officially begins for me. Please, please, PLEASE let the acceptance letters go out really early this year! lol :)
Its the semester I applied. Of course the letters will go out later than they ever have in history. Thats what kinda luck I have:mad:
Okay....This is for everyone who ever wanted to know about retaking a C. This is my True Hollywood Story!! lol Okay So I attempted to enter the program 3 terms ago with a 190 and did not cut it so I wanted to retake human growth and psychology which I had received an C in. I talked t about 3 different advisors on all 4 campuses searching for an answer. Some where straight up mean about it "NO! you cannot retake a C" One fine day I finally talked a an advisor at ceicil center and she told me to talk to the Dean of worksource at north campus(Dr. Neal Henning) She told me he would let me retake my C's since i am a nursing hopeful...so i went and called him and he told me that since it has not been six years that he would not allow me to retake but he gave me the greatest advice EVER!!! He told me I could fill out a transient form and transfer to Columbia college and retake both courses online in 8 weeks and transfer back to fscj by terms start. So I did. I received a transient form from the office and found out columbia college's class equivalent course codes and WALAAAA!! I just finished up both classes with A's transfered back over and submitted my columbia transcript all in time for this summer term =) I am 24 with a 4 year old and 3 year old and I visited the school almost everyday with both of them in those offices to get this done...it was anything but EASY! Them acedemic advisors know absolutely NOTHING!!! I visited all of them after I actually did it and told them what they said I could not do and they were speachless! I just wanted to let them know so for any of you who are in the same boat does not have to go through all the hoops I did =) Hope this helps.
I turned in my app today with a 202.24 !!!!!! Hope this is enough!! Im a nervous wreck!! Here goes 8 weeks of anticipation!! K nurse one day....have you been on this site a while?? I feel like I remember you name from about a year and a half ago on here. Hopefully we both get in. I read you have two lil ones yourself...are they boys or girls or one of each?

I have a 202.24 now ......very nervous about that number....hope it gets me in there though. With two kids and trying to get into a house at the moment I feel as if I can not breathe! I want to work while in school but I think that will be too much of a load. My sister is in third term, my good friend is in fourth term and four of my other gfs just graduated...so I know whats coming:eek:
Everyone seems to always make really good friends in this program or at least allies to get you through, hope to meet ya'll in there =)
Hi all!
This is my first post, but I've been a serious lurker for quite a while. ;-) I just dropped off my app today with 210.67 points. I can't believe we have to wait 9 more weeks to hear!
Anyone else apply elsewhere? I live in Jax, so in all probability I'll be staying here, but I've applied to a number of other schools, too. I am definitely going to go on to do my BSN and I will have my AA at the end of this semester, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Fingers crossed, everyone! I'm excited!
Well like I said earlier, last summer they got theirs in only about 5 1/2 weeks, so hopefully we get ours that early. I think since there arent as many spots open in summer, maybe it wont take as long to send them out. However, FSCJ isn't exactly famous for prompt and timely responses. God bless'em though. LOL
Im gonna scan some more of the old summer threads and see the time frames they got their notices
EDIT: In summer 09 they got them on March 24, and summer 08 they got them in February. So basically it could be any time
