FSCJ Spring 2020 Nursing Applicants

Published

Hi,

I'm starting this thread in hopes that other FSCJ Spring 2020 hopefuls will join in. Good luck to everyone applying come September.

I talked to nursing educators and they didn't say anything about forits. But 48k for an ADN? Chamberlain is 65k for BSN and 22 month long program.

Check CCNE & ACEN, Chamberlain may be accredited but their nursing program doesn’t seem to be. I’d rather pay for an accredited ADN than a non accredited BSN.

I was thinking about applying to FSCJ, but heard the waitlist was terrible. Is that not true? I’m going to another school for HESI exam review.

No Chamberlain is credited. Is the best school. I just wish it was cheaper would have start by now 65 is a lot. Hope they start ADN soon

Chamberlain is accredited by the HLC- higher learning commission. I have no idea what the differences are but they are accredited and you are able to sit for the NCLEX as well. I just did some research today-since I am not interested due to the cost- I never really looked. I have had my doctor advise me that Chamberlain is a good school and a lot of grads come out of there with with high recommendations. To each his or her own! Wishing you all the best of luck with whichever route you choose to be an RN, ADN or BSN. ***applied a month ago today for FSCJ***

It is very expensive and I would absolutely rather go to FSCJ but my husband is military and we are only here for 3 years and I'd rather pay than wait. Time is money lol

IF I wait another couple years to get in and nurses make what 50-60k a year then I miss out out that potential income waiting then spending the money (this is the many talks I've had with myself)

Also did anyone apply for Jacksonville Uni Nursing? Or UNF?

I applied to JU

@staysha92 same here. Pay the extra for a school I can immediately get into, or pay for extra classes I would have to take to stay enrolled at FSCJ should they not accept me. I chose to pay extra for the school I can get into, graduate earlier, and start earning money as soon as possible. I’m a single mom, so I can’t waste time in school.

Hello, Jess. Buckle up and I will see you in the summer. I was off by 1 pount as well. I am currently working on MCB this semester so that did not count. Will you retake the HESI?

I received an "alternate acceptance" just now but I believe they miscalculated my scores or went with my fall application scores. (I took a higher level math over the summer and received an A so my score should have improved to a 135.47) so I would double check they calculated your scores correctly since you are VERY close.
