Hi,

I'm starting this thread in hopes that other FSCJ Spring 2020 hopefuls will join in. Good luck to everyone applying come September.

Hi @Danielle1904 FSCJ Spring 2020 hopeful here as well! New to FSCJ and Jacksonville altogether. I am scheduled for the Hesi on 8/30 which makes me nervous to think about. However I am very excited for the results.

Hi Everyone! I'm retaking the HESI in a week so I can apply for Spring 2020. I fell short for the fall term this time around, so I'm trying again! Good luck :)

Hi everyone! I'm also applying for Spring 2020. I just finished Micro yesterday (Yay!) and can't wait to apply. I took the HESI in January and I'm scheduled to take it again at the end of the month. Good luck everyone!

Welcome you guys! Hope to meet you all in the spring. @Melgy2019 do you remember what the cut of points was for the Fall 2019 Term?

Hi! I'm also applying for the Spring 2020 semester. I'll have around 144 points I believe. I have to retake the other hesi subjects since I only have the reading, grammar, math, etc. but I'm hoping that'll be good enough. I saw other semesters said the cutoff for them was in the low to mid 130s

@Danielle1904 the cutoff for the waiting list was 134.5-136 and people accepted was 136 and higher. I had 131.6

I created a facebook page for spring 2020 for anyone that wants to join!

Does anyone know if the HESI points are taken from one sitting or if you can combine your best scores from previous test as long as it's within the 2 year mark?

It will be the best scores from one sitting per the meeting they had for those that didn’t get accepted in to fall term.

I was thinking about applying to FSCJ, but heard the waitlist was terrible. Is that not true? I’m going to another school for HESI exam review.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding the waitlist clears after each term so there is no long standing waitlist. A certain number of people (not sure how many) are waitlisted each term and if you don't get called from the waitlist you have to re-apply next term.

That is correct. For when my cohort was going through acceptances, there were only 2 or 3 people that received an acceptance letter after being placed on the waiting list. The list is then cleared. Points are EVERYTHING to get into this program so if the next pool of applicants have a higher points cutoff, it's not good for those that were waitlisted before as they would then be ranked further down the list than on the previous list. I've seen the cutoff come in as low as the 120s in older semesters and as high as the 140s for others.
