FSCJ Spring 2012 Hopeful w/???s

Published

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here. I am in the middle of tackling the pre-reqs for FSCJ nursing program. I am really hoping to get into the SPring 2012 program (fingers crossed!!) But I'm a little confused about something.

I will be taking my last two classes in the fall, Micro and AP2. My advisor told me that I can apply for the program while I am taking these classes....my question is, if I apply to the program before the Oct. 1 deadline how will they be able to calculate my points for Micro and AP2 if I have not yet fully completed those classes? Will I have to wait until the next fall program? I am really hoping that is not the case, but I'm thinking my advisor may have given me th wrong information.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I agree michele742! I would LOVE to celebrate someone else's letter right about now!! LOL

Same here - it would just be nice to know that someone got an answer. There's so much that has to be done once you're accepted (BLS, shots, uniforms, etc) and for those of us that have to work around jobs and childcare, it would be nice to make plans.

Hopefully we will all find out next week!

From your mouth to God's ear, Teach2nurse :) sigh...it would be nice to know before Thanksgiving....but, if not, then in two weeks we should hear. sigh....sigh....sigh....sigh...lol

I'm getting married on Saturday. It would be really nice to have an answer by then so I don't spend my wedding day thinking about nursing school acceptance letters...lol

December is going to be a busy month for a lot of us! Does anybody know if insurance pays for the drug testing and titers? I have Blue Cross Blue Shield that will switch over to Aetna in January. I'm sure it is expensive out of pocket!

I think if you get it along with a physical sometimes bluecross wil pay. But there are so many blue cross plans!

When I went thru the FSCJ Vocational program, my insurance covered my check up which included my Varicella, Rubella and Hep B titers. I had to go to a place on Busch Drive to get a drug test which cost approx $35-$40, I paid Solantic $30 to catch me up on my Tetorifice shot and I paid UPS about $55.00 to get my background check. The most expensive items are the books, uniforms, $55 nursing shoes, gas, tuition and lunch money in these programs.

Man, I really thought someone would find out today :specs:

You messed with my head here Teacher2nurse! I saw the response in my inbox thinking OH OH OH OH, SOMEONE FOUND OUT!!! :lol2: sigh...no, looks like no-one did. I HATE this waiting, it's driving me nuts :uhoh3:. Will mail be delivered on Sat. ??? Just curious. :D

I will be going out of town for the holidays (Wed-Sunday) I'm sure I will be running to the mail box when I get home!

The college is closed Thurs-Sun, so if they don't go out Wednesday, it will be next week. Mail is delivered on Friday & Saturday though, so who knows.....

Ever since I discovered this website, I have stalked it at the end of every semester... LoL

This is my last semester of pre reqs and as long as my grades remain the same until the semester ends, I should have a total of 106 points (Which I am not sure I am too happy about)... I really need to do well on the PSB - NAT in order to really have a chance... I would be applying for the Summer term (:

Does anyone know what the lowest score that was accepted for the last term?

I've read around 200, but I have also read of people not getting in with those scores.

I would be taking day classes.

Thanks in advance!
