FSCJ Spring 2014 hopeful

Published

I haven't found anything for spring 2014 hopefuls so I wanted to put it out there and meet any other applicants. I am currently taking chem over the summer & I am enrolled in micro for fall. I took my NAT yesterday. I will be applying in Aug for a spring start with 204.32 points. I am hoping to make it in spring rather than having to finish micro and need those points, pushing me back to summer start. Almost 2 years of pre-reqs and sweating it out, it's almost our turn to apply  I am stoked!!!

Good luck Beatrice91, I wish you the best. Keep trying and never give up. If you know this is your destiny, continue to fight for it. I didn't do good on the Nat either, a lot of people don't. But the people who keep trying are the people who end up succeeding. I tell myself this often, whatever situation I am going through, I don't let it discourage me but learn to let it encourage me.

Hello everyone! I have been getting ready to apply for what seems like years( as i am sure all of you have as well).

I currently have 183:/ Really worried about that getting me in since the cut off was 187 last semester.

Oh well, we can only do so much.I am newly married and my husband just deployed in June so i was too busy throwing myself a pity party to take the PSB far enough in advance to take it twice before the deadline.

Guess i will be looking into other schools to apply to since i don't feel secure at all in getting in.

Good luck to you all!! :)

Most in your situation would be having the same pity party, i can only imagine how tough that is. Send in your application, you still have a chance! The cut off could be lower for Spring than fall. Also remember, some seats are always declined, calls go out to the next students on the list so ultimately the cut off score is lowered. Good Luck!

I have also decided to go with Summer. They are not offering Night and Weekend in Spring, so I am really needing to at least try to get into it. If i don't then i will make days work. For daycare purposes, it would obviously be a lot cheaper for me since i will be living off of loans once in the program :-( That is the only difference i really know about.

sorry i never responded, i'm not on here much. I am in Finals for Mico and i'm stressed to the max! its so hard. I'm disappointed because i have a B right now, and i really wanted the full 16 points for this class! And, my teachers exams kind of suck, so i'm hoping i don't completely bomb the finals (lab final and regular final) we shall see. I have decided to try for Summer 2014 instead of Spring. I didn't realize they were not offering night and weekend in spring, and i really need to try for it!

I don't know about the age..I had my son later than most of my friends...lol. I'm 33 :-) I have got to keep my mind off the bills things because it stresses me out daily..lol.

My goal is to work in Pediatric Oncology. I am hoping I cut out for it because I am very passioniate about it. But, i'm worried that my heart won't be able to handle it mostly. We shall see :-)

Hi, everyone! I am a long-time lurker to this site and now a Spring hopeful. I'm taking Micro next semester, so I won't have those points for the Spring application, but with a good NAT score, it should still be okay. I'm taking the NAT in September, which makes me both super excited and a little nervous. It's my first time on it, but I plan on taking it again in January if I don't get in for the Spring and applying again for the Summer.

I just wanted to check in and wish everyone good luck with your testing and applications!!!

Thank you. I wish you and everyone else the best too. You are so right, it takes trying again and working harder to achieve success. That is a good point you have there: "I don't let it discourage me but learn to let it encourage me" :)

How were your micro finals? Hope they were better than you thought :)

That is a great attitude, Aye_Ne

Hi! I'm going to be at North as well, but I'm taking Monday/Wednesday classes with Dr. Lorincz. I had her for A&P I and II and just love her.

I'm excited as well! Seeing the light!
