I scanned the threads and didn't see one for this class set up yet. I'm applying at the end of the semester. Anyone else?

I dropped off my application this morning. I asked the woman at the desk how many people had applied and she said they weren't giving out that info. She said to expect a letter 8 weeks after October 1. I have 208 points, so I'm pretty confident I'll get in, but you never know. :)

I signed up to take the BLS class on campus November 12. Anybody else taking the class on campus?

The BLS class is the Basic Life Support/CPR certification we need to have if and when we get in.

Oh I already have that. You have to have that I thought when you applied. It says attach a copy of your CPR certification for Health Professionals card.

Both the packet and the website say that it's not needed to apply; you need to present it when you're accepted. If that's not still true, I'm SOL. But I think it still stands. :)

Yep you are right. I submitted a copy of mine anyways. But it has to be the CPR for Healthcare professionals, the basic BLS class will not be accepted.

The application packet has a whole list of places to get cpr certification. I'm going to take the class at FSCJ - I've got financial aid, so all I have to do is buy the book and mask. The cheapest one listed in the packet is at Northeast Florida State hospital in MacClenny. It says $20.
