Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
Does anyone have suggestions for laptop or tablets we should use? Do they tell us what to get or can we use whatever we have?
You can use whatever you want. The e-books are not compatible with the nook though. I think all the rest are compatible.
Does anyone have any idea if you can switch to nights/weekends if you got in for days? Is their a waitlist or is it even possible? I'm anxious to call them tomorrow morning, but i might have to decline my acceptance if I cannot get switched due to changes at work..
I would appreciate any feedback on this topic! Thanks!!

You can call, but they will probably tell you no. BUT, there were 3 people who were in days that wanted nights, that were able to switch. It has to be agreeable between the 2 people at orientation. So if you find anyone that wants to switch, they are okay with it, you just have to let them know. So its all about finding someone who wants to switch with you.
They save a certain amount of seats for reinstatement's, so right now they may not be willing to tell you over the phone.
I'm curious,when/ where do you wear the khakis and polo shirts? Do you wear scrubs at all? If so, where/when are those worn?
Polos and khakis are worn for volunteer events and a couple things on campus like skills simulations and hospital orientations. The white uniforms are worn for skills simulations on campus and for clinical days. Some it depends on prof preference as well.
Does anyone currently in the program know what the different schedule options are for days?
There are lots of different schedules. It all depends on your section.
Mine was:
Monday- tests 9am - this is the same for everyone.
Tuesday- first 1/2 of semester - techniques 8-1
second 1/2 of semester - clinicals 630-130
Wednesday - health 2-5
Thursday - concepts 9-12
pharm 1-4
since concepts and pharm are hybrid, class was only every other week and the classes were opposite weeks. so pharm one week and concepts the next, etc
some sections had only one class a day so they had to attend on Fridays. every section had different subjects on different days. This is just what my section looked like.

The laptop and tablets is all personal choice. they have no say so. As long as you can get your assignments in on time, online, they could care less how you get it there. I have a laptop and tablet. Tablet does come in handy so i don't have to bring my laptop to school sometimes. In theory you don't HAVE to have them, but i would highly suggest at least a laptop. I still bring my laptop to school here and there.
One of my best purchases so far has been a laser printer with double sided printing. I print ALOT and a regular printer that uses ink is not sufficient for me. And the double sided printing saves on paper.
