Hello everyone, I did not see a post for the fall 2014 semester, so I wanted to get it started. I applied to the 2014 summer semester and now I am waiting on my acceptance or denial letter. I am starting this forum just in case i do not get in for the summer. My total score right now is 169.96. I have 97 points for my classes and 72.96 points from the NAT. I am currently taking statistics and humanities, in hope of getting an A in both of them to boost my score up to 178.96. I made a C in A&P 1, my first humanities class and PSY1012. I also made a B in college algebra and that is what got my score down so low. I hope that the low cut off score trend continues to give me a good chance of getting in. The last 3 semesters were 175.96, 187 and 187. I am preparing to retake the NAT in late May to be in time for the June 1st deadline with plenty of time to study for the NAT. I look forward to meeting you all, and hear how things are going for you, so we can encourage and support one another.
Some time in August
I'm sure they won't make you wait until August. Classes start August 25th and you'll have orientation a week or so before that...plus you'll have all of your paperwork and everything to prepare once you get accepted which they give you time to do because it's a lot of running around (titers, fingerprinting, etc.). We had about 6 weeks from receiving our letter to classes starting which seems about average. So with that being said, I would realistically think you will hear something the middle of July. For now, just enjoy time with your families. Once you get that big white envelope and start the program, you may not see them again for a while!!
So what is with the Workforce deal? I know they pay tuition and you apply after acceptance into the Nursing program but there has to be more to it. Do they help you find work while in school or is it volunteer jobs? Is it only for the Nursing program? What office to go apply at?
That is a great question. I am not sure. I imagine that do help nursing students find jobs. If u are asking what office to go to apply for FA for the nursing program, you go to the office located on the north campus in the FA office. As far as trying to find a job, you probably can go to any location but the representative on campus should be able to help u with that or at least answer your questions.
can you apply for other forms of finical aid like before you get accepted and at different campuses? I haven't been able to get any because I already have a degree but I was going to talk to a finical aid adviser to see if I could get any if I am accepted into the program. I just wasn't sure if I should wait until I got a letter or not.

You can apply for financial aid at anytime, though for financial aid to cover Nursing program you must be accepted which will then allow for the update of your POS (program of study) to Nursing.

Did you ask if the pre-req classes are going to be the same? aww I am disappointed that we won't get our letters early. August 1st is too far away!
