Stars that sounds like a scam, I seem to get a lot of emails like that, about changes I didn't make

Ado hope you don't get fined by the IRS

Dianah it can be frustrating.  I think there is a genetic component, my mom and I struggled with weight but my dad and sister never did

Tweety I think stress eating has been the cause of my recent weight gain

Work was not as bad as yesterday, despite having someone off work.  Hopefully the same will be true today

Found my Kohl's coupon expired and the new one isn't good until next week.  So after work did the grocery shopping and instead went to World Market to get some soap and tea.  Rest of the evening was pretty quiet

Nothing really planned tonight, will be rainy most of the day.  Since it's Arbor Day will watch It's Arbor Day Charlie Brown

Will be a bit warmer today, in the mid 60s

Good morning!

Hope you have a good day Joe.

Off today.  Survived three days in a row.  Tuesday I felt I got an unfair and almost bullying assignment of four known discharges that set me up to be slammed with four admissions.  Stayed until 9pm.  By the time I realized what was going to happen it was too late to be disruptive about it.  But the night shift charge nurse heard from me.  She giggled and thought it made sense.  Witch.  The next day relief didn't come until 9:30.  Yesterday I was in charge with a 4:1 assignment.  Yesterday I was rechecking someone's blood pressure before going into report because I'd given some hydralazine and noticed his heart rate was 140's.  Ugh......late again.  I sometimes wonder why I do it.  I hit 40 hours in 3 days so all day tomorrow will be time and a half.  Got a $400 bonus for Tuesday.

I got a really nice paycheck today, so there is that reason why I do it.

Snagged one of only three appointments my barber had today.  Will do some meal prep and get ready for another three day stretch at work.

Greetings from Micturition Mansion! (I pulled that one out of my brain; learned it in 1970 in Nsg School!) I could say the owner of this manse is I.P. Freely, but it is such an old joke, so pretend I didn't say it!

Yup, everything in Nannie's room was wet again this morning, shoulder-blades to back of the knees. Wash, Dry, Remake, Repeat. 😟

Momo did NOT pee on our bed, but she baptized the chux on the sofa right after she ate breakfast. Last night she stunned me by pooping on the chux on the floor in our room. What a GOOD girl! I had just said to myself earlier that day, "Why do I even keep that pad on the floor up here?" And now I know.

When we were watching the news tonight, watching the protesters at various colleges.universities, A very shocked Nannie told me "those people are killing each other!" And she meant literally! I said, "No, no, no. The protesters are fighting with police, who are trying to clear them out, they're getting arrested and resisting arrest, etc."  Then somehow the commercial that played after that news story was part of Nannie's narrative. I gave up trying to explain anything further and just did my "Uh-huh" response.

Hello. I feel like this week I have the Midas touch. Everything I touch turns into a muffler. Stars started it with her old jokes.

I was up early for me (6 am) to take youngest ds to work while his car is worked on. I dropped my car off at the dealership last night to get a recall fix done. They gave me a loaner, but when I showed him my car insurance card, it expired in December. I was about to say fugeduboutit, and call dh for a ride. But I wasn't going to let this guy shame me for not having the card, so I called my insurance agent and she verified over the phone. The guy seemed a little annoyed that he couldn't visualize the card. Heck, when I rent a car, I don't have to show proof of insurance. And he strongly advised me to get a copy for my car. Little pipsqueak. And I had to sign an agreement to a $70 refuel charge if I didn't refill the gas. I made sure this morning that I put a whole six bucks in the tank before I took it back.

Son's car was ready this afternoon, so dh stopped and paid for it and I drove it home. He needs it for work tomorrow, and we will be in Seattle all day Monday, so he needs it then too. I went with dh to pick up his little sleep study machine for a home assessment. Very few wires to attach! Just a chest strap with a sensor, a nasal cannula that attaches to the sensor, and a pulse ox sensor that also plugs into the sensor. Then he wears it for at least 6 hours and we turn it in Monday am.

Oh gosh, Tweety, that sounds like a ridiculous assignment. As always, your patients were lucky to have you. I guess you don't have to worry about ageism. They think you can handle the workload and hours of a 20 something. And you can, but they nor you should have to work like that. I used to do doubles, and I know I was a wreck at hour 14.

Time is going off, so dinner is ready.

Hasta mañana

Hope those 3 days are tame, Tweety.

Anticipating storms again. My book club is meeting tomorrow ecening, weather permitting. We've talked about meeting earlier if it looks like the early evening hours will be dangerous. But Hubs reminds me he's going to meet a friend at the lake tomorrow. Again, weather permitting.

We did frozen Chinese food for dinner. I had my eye appointment today and went ahead and ordered new glasses from there. $420. That seems crazy to me but OK. I did get my prescription so I might get some cheap sunglasses made.

I have vision insurance and pay nearly $400 for glasses and there is now a co-pay for the exams.  I think with the bi-weekly premiums the discounts probably don't announce to much.

I bet the insurance cards in my car are not up to date since I have to print them up myself as I'm paperless.  However, they are readily available on the app on my phone should I need them.  I like the app because if I have to make a claim, I can do it on the spot on my phone and send picture.  Haven't used it yet.

I have pads down in the dogs favorite spots.  But the often miss.  I mopped where they pee and the older blind one got on the pad, walked past it and peed on the floor next to the pad just after I'd mopped.  At least I don't have linen to deal with yet.
