I recently applied to several local RN programs, FSU being one of them. Just curious if anyone out there has as well and if you happen to know when we should start finding out if we were accepted. Also any current or alumni, if you don't mind sharing - what were your stats upon entry?
Good luck to everyone!!

So nothing related to biology or the hard sciences. I did finish all the prereqs I needed to apply to nursing programs within a year, at a CC, which were micro/A&P/chem/comm, so maybe they didn’t like that or CC prereqs weren’t competitive enough ?. On the bright side I got into an ADN program for 2020, but I was hoping to start sooner...and the ADN-to-BSN pathway will ultimately force me to pay less for the RN education, since for me it is 15k cheaper than going to a CSU ?. Oh well! I guess i’ll have more time to spend with my nephew while he’s still a cute baby. ? Good luck to you on your own path. Did you apply anywhere else? If you did I hope you got in!
Oh Thanks!
Mine is in psychology, I graduated a few years ago and I’m a mom of 2 little ones so I’m eagered/excited to get back and get in lol. I as well completed my prereqs at a CC this past year. Oh congrats! Where at?
That’s true! Lol
I applied at west hills, made it to the preselected but didn’t get in. I believe it was because I didn’t have any experience. I was in a CNA program at the time the application was due and completed it 2 weeks later so they didn’t take that into consideration ?, but now I have a better chance at getting in next time. I would have preferred to get into Fresno state since my ultimate goal is to get my masters and there would be a faster route, but I don’t think my gpa was high enough and already having a degree makes it a lot harder if not impossible to increase it. But whatever pathway we have to take to reach our goals? Best of luck to you as well!

Good question! I'm not sure, but based from my Fresno state checklist, all we're waiting for is dog days. Anyway, we'll be notified by the school of nursing personnel about the orientation and everything. :)

Somehow I feel they are separate. My Dog days list only two date all in July. I never been to Fresno, I put google, it takes 3.40 hours to arrive Fresno. Anyone here know about the dorm in the compus? I see the bed up and one table down. I thought stay in the school can help my English but I don’t want to climb up to sleep. Any current student know what we need to do in clinical( specific things I mean)? I appreciate.

Rest assured, they'll notify us on our next steps. Oh yes, you're far away from Fresno! Have you tried looking up Fresno state housing website or facebook groups about it? Btw, what country are you from? I think your English is good as you are able to communicate what you want to say.

Checked, there are 2,3,4 bedrooms. I only need one?. I am Asia. I found people rent one room out their house but I don’t want living with people speaking my language, I want find people are native speaker for English! I am here American four semesters plus two summers so far with a little English in the beginning. I still need improve my English because I don’t want to make any mistake in hospital because language problems which I already experienced a few time. I could check the meaning on writing but not on speaking. Btw means by the way? Just checked. Btw nice to meet you?!
Dog Days is the university orientation that we have to go to at the end of July, but I know the nursing programme has its own too, probably around that time or beginning of August!
I did find last years handbook when browsing the website a few weeks back. I bet a lot of it is the same. It at least gives you the list of vaccines that are required, some like the HepA/B need several doses so it is good to get started on them if needed.
@struggleforfuture I don't really know anything about the housing so I am afraid I cannot help there I saw those beds too when they sent a postcard with housing info, haha! I am too old to be climbing in to bed! ?
