Hello All,
I am very happy to be back on Allnurses.com. I haven't been able to log into my old account so I had to create a new one. Anywho, the reason for this post is I received my acceptance letter for LPN school in OKC. I am very excited and happy that I have been given a second chance to accomplish my goal of becoming a nurse. Not sure if the school I've been accepted into is a good one though, but I am grateful. RN here I come!!..God is good!...

Congrats! I got my acceptance letter to Metro Tech today! This is also a second chance for me as well! I have a friend who graduated from Francis Tuttle and went on to get her BSN and she like the program. You should be fine!
Thank you LovelyOverload..I appreciate the positive response. I'm glad to hear that Francis Tuttle isn't a bad place. Because I know NOTHING about the school. And congratulations to you too. We're well on our way to FINALLY become RN's!

Congratulations on your acceptance to LPN school. I've heard both Francis Tuttle and Metro Tech programs were very good. Good Luck!

How exciting! It's a great program! My aunt gradated from there this time last year! CONGRATS!!
Thank you Ambitiouz! I appreciate that... It's nice to hear other opinions about the school because I know nothing about it. I feel better now. =)
Thank you Bojamashell! Congratulations to and good luck to you too! I plan on doing Rose States direct articulation program next fall. Keep us updated on the program, if you remember. If not, I understand. Lol
Thank you JohnnieLo! Knowing somebody actually went through the program, graduated, and loved it is a definite plus for me... I'm excited!

Congrats! I'm thinking about lpn school too and wondering: when/where are clinicals? Will I need a car?
If you have someone you can truly rely on to give you a ride to and from class and clinicals then it is possible. Clinicals are held at different facilities in the OKC metro area and they change every year.
Thank you xlovehappyx! Now for your question. I have no clue where we'll be going for clinicals this year. They haven't told us yet. Hopefully they won't be too far away. =\ I believe our first clinical day is on the 28th of September. I will definitely keep you updated on our clinical sites when we find out... As for your second question, yes you will definitely need a car to get to and from clinicals. Unless you make plans to carpool with some of your classmates. Good luck to you!..=)
